Agnes

It's Thursday.

And Mr. Edgar's party will start in 6 hours.

I placed my head on the desk and closed my eyes then sighed. I really need a day off. Puros na lang ako school and work, school and work. Then if I don't have anything to do. I look for work.

Am I a boring person?

I sighed once again.

"Bundok may problema ka?" I hear Finch's voice.

I opened my eyes and see his face a few inches from mine. My heart nearly skipped a beat but I kept my cool.

"Ikaw" I bluntly said and turned my head 180 degrees to the right. Once again closed my eyes.

I felt his hand patting my head.

"Hindi ka pa kumain ng lunch ano?"

"Hindi ako gutom."

I hear the sound of the chair moving as he stood up. Umupo naman ako ng maayos and saw him grabbing something in his bag. It's a box. He reach out the box to me at kinuha ko naman ito.

"Ano to?" I asked.

"Donut. Hindi ka pa nakakakain ng JCO donuts?" tanong niya.

"Nakakakain na po ako nito. What I mean to say is, para saan?"

"Para sa lunch."

"Diba sabi ko hindi ako guto-----"

My stomach growled.

"Hindi pala? Sige akin na lang" sabi niya and was about to take the box away. But I took one donut before he could.

"Pahingi" I said as I took a bite.

"Pakipot ka pa kasi bundok."

I smirked and shot him a So-what-glare.

"Mamaya na ang party. May masuot ka na ba?" tanong niya.

"Anong party?"

I know what he meant by that but there is no way I'll be coming with him.

"Hindi ka ba sinabihan ng pinsan mo ha? Tinext ko siya kabagi na sabihan ka."

Ah yung text mo na sinend mo sa number ni Pat? Wala.

"Wala siyang natanggap."

"Lokong pinsan ah! Masabihan ko nga yan mamaya. Tara na!" sigaw niya and took my arm.

He carefully dragged me to the parking lot and we went inside his car.

Why are we leaving the campus at lunch? At bakit patang ang smooth lang ng takas na ito? Ano bang ginawa niya sa mga guards? Binigyan ng autograph or nung picture niya?

"I didn't know you had a car"

"Nakalimutan mo na ba? I'm the Finch!"

I didn't reply. There's no need to brag. I know you can now afford your own car with that career of yours. Tsch. I've been in the entertainment industry for almost 18 years and I still can't drive!

I don't even have my own car.

He pulled out of the parking lot and drove out of the campus. He turned the radio on he's singing with the song. American Dream by MKTO.

I love this song. Especially the lyrics.

What I didn't expect the most is Finch's singing voice. It's not beautiful nor ugly. It's something that I can't describe. It's like marunong siyang kumanta.
