Jasmine
It's 5:30 and I still haven't gone out at all since I've been here so after dinner I decide to grab phone and leave.
"Hey mom I'm heading out!" I yell but before I could go she stops me. "It's pretty late I don't think you should leave now..." She explains and I frown.
My grandma decides to step in. "I actually need some things from the grocery store would you like to get them for me?" She says and sends me a subtle wink.
"Yeah sure grandma!" I say and laugh a bit. Why to go grandma.
"Here's some money and get me some milk and eggs..." She says and my mother stands by still looking uneasy.
"Bye mom see you in a bit I won't be out long!!!" I send my grandma a grateful smile and thumbs up and she nods in return.
As I walk down to the store it all looks fairly calm I grab some milk and eggs then a few sweets for myself.
On my way back I see a few shops that were still open and decide to check them out. Many of the workers spoke spanish but luckily for me I was half Hispanic and half whatever my mom was.
My Spanish wasn't perfect because my dad didn't speak it around me and we always kept our distance from his family, something about issues with his brothers and uncles and my many cousins.
As I'm walking away from the shops and lighted area I begin to feel nervous it's dark now and I don't know my way around here very well.
I see a guy around my age walking down the street his hands at his sides and he looks determined to get to his destination. I shrug he looks nice enough.
"Hey can you help me?" I call him over.
He looks at me like I'm some rabid animal and keeps on walking slowly.
"Hey wait please I just need some help I think I'm lost!" I yell again.
He sighs and walks towards me. "Hasn't anyone ever told you not to talk to strangers..." He says and looks anxiously around our surroundings.
"Well I'm certain I don't want to spend the night out here. Can you help me find my house?" I ask.
"Look you shouldn't be here..." He says not even listening to what I was saying. I roll my eyes. "I am trying to get home..." Why didn't I leave a trial of bread behind me like hansel and gretel.
"Okay I'll help you find your way home..." He sighs. I smile. "Yay thanks, um what's your name again?" I ask.
"Wouldn't you like to know..." He says a smirk on his lips. I frown. "I would like to actually!" I say mater o factly.
He gives me a sideways glance and shakes his head. "You know I can't help but wonder what a sweet innocent girl like you is doing out here..." He says and gives me another side glance.
"Went to buy milk and eggs for my grandma duh..." I say. "Anyway since I can't get your name can I get you age instead?" I ask excitedly as we walk.
His expression stays blank. "18 and how about you little miss I talk too much..." He says completely unamused.
I frown and pout. "I'm just trying to be friendly something you should learn to do." I say sassily. "And for your information I'll be 17 in 2 weeks!" I say and smile proudly.
"Congratulations." He says sarcastically. He asks me which way I came from and then I explain how there was a cute little park near by and an elementary school too. He nods and thinks he knows where it is and leads the way.
"So I'm really not going to get a name? Are you like some kind of wanted criminal or something?" I ask seriously.
I see him smile a bit at my accusation."Something like that..." He says and my eyes widen. "Oh my god! You're a killer aren't you! Please don't kill me I'm to young and I haven't even eaten my cookies yet..." I say gesturing to the bag which contains double chocolate chip cookies.
He smirks. "I'm not a murderer but I am very dangerous you should try to keep your distance..." My eyebrows etch together in confusion. "So if you're not a murderer then I'm safe right?"
This time his face turns serious. "Not exactly." He whispers. "My name is Jasmine by the way..." I say and stick my hand out for him to shake.
He just looks at it and ignores it completely. Well okay...
I see my grandmas house up ahead and point it out to him.
Before he could go I stop him. In the light coming from the lamp post I get a better look at him.
He has dark brown hair and blue eyes, his all black attire makes him look like a robber or someone you'd see in a movie where the girl walks on the other side of the street to avoid him.
I shrug again. "Well have a nice day blue eyes..." I say give him a nickname since I haven't got his name yet.
"Try not to talk to anymore strangers weird girl." He says a smirk on his face. He was actually really hot. No shame but damn.
"Yeah yeah, hey wait up does this make us friends?" I ask childishly. He chuckles.
"Yeah sure you could say that..." He says and with that he walks off into the night.
I walk inside and smile as I feel I've made a new friend. But what the hell did he mean when he said I should stay away from him?
"Hey sweetie how was your trip?" My dad asks me. I nod and smile. "Made a new friend and found a place to hang out." I lie well not completely but I need a reason to not be locked up here tomorrow.
He nods. "That's good." I walk to my room and call Cameron instantly.
"Hey cutie!" He answers immediately.
"Guess what!" I say and then leap into my story about the mystery boy and my trip down town.
"Oooh someone's got a hottie!" Cameron says and fans himself playfully. "Yeah his eyes were beautiful but he was sorta rude, and he told me I should stay away from him!" I say and he raises his eyebrows.
"Oh a hottie and a badboy..." He hums.
"I can't see it!" He says and I laugh. "Yeah you can't see me with anyone else but Zac Efron." I say. He rolls his eyes.
"You need someone who is perfect and the only guy I know who is perfect is Zac Efron so your welcome." He says and I laugh because he looks completely serious.
I soon end the FaceTime and then climb into bed. I wonder if I'll see blue eyes tomorrow.
