Jasmine
As soon as we enter the house a ginormous man covered in tattoos walks up to Hayden and whispers something in his ear. Hayden nods and pulls out his phone immediately, then the large man turns to me.
What he does next surprises me. He smiles and kindly says hello. I gap at him.
He's huge, he was like 9 feet tall?! I think to myself while I look at the huge man who looks like he could lift me up with one finger.
Hayden smirks and the man laughs a deep belly laugh. Then I blush realizing I had said that out loud.
"Dan this is Jasmine she's my guest, just keep the idiots away from her please." Hayden says kindly and I didn't even think he knew the word please let alone manners.
Then he turns to me sharply. "Don't talk to anyone but Dan, stay out of trouble and I'll be back in a few minutes." He says and turns to walk up the long stair case.
"Sorry you're stuck babysitting Dan!" Hayden yells over his shoulders. "Hey!" I yell back childishly.
When he leaves Dan turns to me. "Would you like to go into the living room?" He asks me and I nod still inspecting the beautiful house.
There are abstract paintings all along the walls and expensive looking china sitting on dark wooded tables that sit along the long hallway walls, when I look up there's a chandelier sparkling in the dim lighting. Everything was so beautiful, and looked expensive, I make a mental note not to touch anything.
He leads me to a huge room with many leather couches a ping pong table, a huge flat screen TV hanging from the wall and even a popcorn machine in the corner of the room.
I sit down on the couch while Dan stands there watching me. I smile but he just continues to stand and stare. I start to feel uncomfortable.
"What's with the staring?" I ask and feel my face heat up. Did I have something on my face?
He chuckles. "You're different from other girls he's brought home, they may have only been for one night but your so, innocent." He says.
I shrug. "He saved me, maybe he just feels sorry for me?" I say but it sounds more like a question than a statement.
He shakes his head. "Hayden doesn't feel sorry for people." He states mater o factly, I shrug again. What did he mean?
"Hey do you have any coco puffs? I'm hungry." I say out of the blue and pat my stomach.
He gives me an odd look but I shrug it off and he leads me to the kitchen.
Finally after what felt like years I get my coco puffs. I eat two bowls before heading back to the living room where I was originally.
Dan following closely behind me.
When we enter the room again I see that it is now being occupied by a guy around Hayden's age sitting watching a football game. He has brown hair and dark brown eyes, his white t-shirt stained with what looks like cheeto powder.
"Hi I'm Jasmine." I say and smile sweetly but am immediately put to the side by Dan.
And when I say 'put to the side' I mean he lifted me by my shoulders and effortlessly put me beside him, like some kind of duck.
