Jasmine
As soon as Hayden leaves my shocked state begins to fade and I take off, completely disobeying Hayden's orders.
I soon find my mom and grandma outside during all this kayos.
"Mom take grandma home, stay safe.." I breathe out as my grandma stands there looking shocked.
My mother on the other hand looks angry and a bit scared to say the least.
"No honey you are coming with us." She argues.
"No mom look I have to make sure someone I know is okay. I will be safe."
I say and as soon as I do I take off.I run to Hayden's house knowing it's not that far from here.
I can already hear police sirens near by most likely headed to the scene.
Better late than never as I always say.
I'm panting by the time I arrive.
"Hayden!" I yell as soon as I step foot in the familiar large house.
"What's happened?" Dan asks his eyebrows raised as he looks at my panting state.
"There was a shooting. Hayden left me at the church I have to find him."
I'm not clueless as to why I want to find him and make sure he's okay. He's my friend I guess and he has saved me from some situations that could have ended badly for me.
"Calm down. Where's Brian I sent him as soon as we knew what was going to happen."
I shake my head. "I didn't see Brian anywhere..." I say confused.
"Dan don't tell Hayden but I may or may not have lost his little girlfr-" Brian stops mid sentence.
"Oh uh hey Jasmine..." He says.
I roll my eyes. "Where's Hayden?"
"He went to deal with-"
"That's enough Brian." Dan cuts him off.
"I need to make sure he's okay." I say getting frustrated.
I'm a part of this as much as they are, I should get to know what's happening.
"And you will know, but for now you should go." Dan says sternly.
"No I won't just go okay, there was a fucking shooting Dan" I yell.
"There were kids there, innocent people and my family was there okay..." My breathing becomes uneasy and I feel myself become dizzy.
No no not again.
This is freshman year all over again. I used to get panic attacks before school due to constant bulling and teasing.
I've only passed out 3 times before.
This was that feeling.
