Chapter 16: Recalling the Past

Mindy's POV

I woke up after the great make up date I had yesterday with Chanyeol. We're having another one today too. I got up and did my usual routine before going to class with Mandy. "Hey.. Isn't that Mark?" Mandy pointed to a guy and told me. I looked over. "Yeah... I think so." I muttered. We walked over and looked at him. "Hey Mark! What are you doing outside our class?" I asked. He looked at us. "I was looking for you..." He said. Mandy took the cue to go in while I talked to Mark. "Yes?" I asked him. He squirmed around. He looked hesitant. "Urm.. How do I put this...?" He muttered under his breath. I looked at him. He cleared his throat and as he was about to say something, the school bell rang. "Talk later." I told him while smiling. He nodded and walked to his class and I walked into mine. I sat down at my seat and lessons started.

-Lunch-

"Wahhhhh! I'm hungry!" Baekhyun yelled as he left the classroom. Mandy smacked his head. "Keep it down, will you?! I don't want people to be looking at us!" Mandy yelled at him. He pouted at her and Mandy rolled her eyes. We walked to the cafeteria and sat down to eat. "HEY MINDY! CAN YOU COME HERE FOR A SEC?" I heard someone yell. We turned around and saw BamBam waving his hands in the air. I excused myself and walked towards their table. "Yea? Wassup?" I asked. The guys looked at me. "Are you Mindy? The one who posts covers on Youtube?" Youngjae asked. "The one and only!" I told him. "HA! I told you so that she was Mindy and her sister Mandy was studying here. Pay up dude!" Jackson cheered and asked for money. Youngjae grumbled and paid him $50. The rest laughed and so did I. "Hey Mindy... Um.. Do you remember me?" Mark asked. I looked at him. He looked somewhat familiar... "I don't know but you look familiar..." I said. BamBam looked at me. "He was you're first crush remember?!" BamBam said. "Oh! Now I remember! You're the one who rejected me the day before the Valentines Party!" I said. He sheepishly smiled. "Yeah... I had my reasons for that." He told me. I looked at him. "Really?" I asked him. He had reasons?? Isn't the reasons like I like another girl or you're not pretty enough? He nodded. "Care to listen to me after school at the café  at 5?" He asked. I nodded. No harm listening right? He smiled. I smiled back and bid goodbye to them and went back to my table. "What did he ask you about?" Chanyeol asked as I went back to our table. "Nothing much. Just wanted to know if Mandy and I were YouTubers." I told him. He nodded and we returned back to eating. "Do you dance ?" Kai asked Mandy and I. I shook my head. "I suck at dancing no matter how hard I try." I told him. Mandy nodded. "I can. But only a tint bit." She said.  Kai nodded. "Kris ge, I want that cheese stick!" Tao whined. "Yah. Can you stop whining and eat." Sehun and Kris said at the same time. Tao pouted. "You look ugly when you pout so don't do that!" Baekhyun told him and we laughed. "At least I don't look as bad as Suho trying to cry and smile at the same time!" He defended. Suho looked at him. "Yah! why did you drag me in you're conversations?!" Suho yelled at him. They started to bicker back and forth. Mandy and I just laughed at them.

"Yoda ears!" Baekhyun yelled at Chanyeol after he called Baekhyun bacon. Chanyeol eyes widened. "JAGI! Help me! Baekhyun just called me Yoda ears!" He whined. "Wae? Deal with it yourself." I told him. He faked shock. "Jagi! How could you do this to me?" He said dramatically with his hand on his heart. Ey.. Trying to act eh? "I'm sorry jagi... But I was forced to do this!" I acted along. He gasped. "I thought you loved me!" "I do! But I have no choice! It was my parents who forced me to marry Lay!" I told him. His eyes widened. I dragged Lay to my side and looked at me. "Act Along." I whispered. He nodded. "Hey Mindy, what are you doing here out in the cold?" He asked. "I am here to bid farewell with my jagi." I told  him.

"Fine! If you want to act this way, I shall take your sister!" Chanyeol said and grabbed my sister. "Chanyeol! What are you doing?! I have a boyfriend already!" Mandy yelled. I sighed. "Goodbye Chanyeol... Do whatever you want. We're done anyways." I said and 'left' with Lay. "NO JAGI!" He yelled. "Aaaaaaand cut! That was a great take everyone! It's a wrap!" Director Baekhyun said while putting down his camera. "You filmed that?" I asked. He nodded. "Send it to me!" I told him and he did so. We laughed at each other and resumed eating till the bell rung.

-CLASS ENDS-

"Hey! You guys go ahead. I have to meet someone."I told the guys and Mandy and they nodded and walked away. "Remember our date!" Chanyeol yelled before walking away. I walked to the café to meet Mark. He was already sitting there, drinking a cup of coffee. "Hey." I greeted while sitting down. He returned a 'hey'.  "So.. umm.. Why?" I asked. He sighed before narrating the story.

Mark's POV

-Flashback-

The day before Mindy confessed.

"Don't you think Mindy is pretty?" I said to BamBam. He nodded. "Yeah but she is my best friend. So if you plan on asking her out, you better treat her right." BamBam warned. I chuckled. "I will don't you worry." I told him. BamBam nodded and left. I was planning to ask her out to the Valentines Party which is the day after tomorrow. So I plan to ask her out tomorrow. I watched Mindy walked out of the school compound with her sister and I smiled to myself. Hope she accepts my heart. I was about to walk away when two strong arms grabbed me and pulled into an empty classroom. I noticed him. He was Jungkook. The bully of the school. "What do you want?"  I asked, terrified. He smirked at me, "What do I want? I want Mindy of course. But apparently she doesn't like me, she likes you." He told me. She likes me? My heart fluttered as soon as he told me she likes me. "So I am here to tell you to stay away from her. I don't care whether you like her or not. She is mine and only mine. Do you understand? If I see you with her, you might never see you're friends ever again." He warned and walked away. I was stunned. Never be with her or talk to her? But how? I really love her and I can't just give up on her. But I still want my friends. I can't be selfish because of her. I sighed to myself. Without me knowing, tears streamed down my face. I'm sorry, Mindy, I'm sorry..

The next day.

"Hey Mark!" Mindy's sweet voice rang into my ears. "What?" I spat. She still continued to smile. Mindy ah, how can you still smile so angelically? "Um... This is for you. Actually, I have liked you since the day I met you. Um... Will you be my valentine?" She confessed. YES I WOULD BUT THE KOOKIE THERE WONT ALLOW ME! That was what I wanted to say. But I refrained myself. "I don't like you. Stop bothering me anymore." I spat and she STILL smiled. "Oh that's alright. Never expected you to like me back anyways." She said. And instead of me walking away from her, she walked away from me. Mianhae... Chongmal Mianhae... I sighed and walked back home.

Mindy POV
He finished his story and I finished my cup of coffee. "So you were forced to do so. Oh I see... But it's alright. I moved on. We can still be best friends!" I told him. And he smiled brightly back. "Thanks for listening or else I would have died with regret." Mark joked and we laughed.
