The party started getting really loud as Andre invited all his high-school friends over. I started feeling out of place, and Ellie was too busy flirting to notice. I sat out on my porch and relaxed under the sunset. A familiar black and yellow mustang drove up. Pikachu, I smiled.

Stan came out, and it was funny. I just wished on the first star that fought through the orange sky that Stan would come and take me somewhere quiet, where we could talk and be alone for a change. Now here he was, his brown eyes sparkling down on me.

"My fair princess" He whispered, taking my fingers. My stupid heart thumped with sweet love, thicker than syrup. Stan pulled me up and kissed me on my lips. He tasted wonderful and warm, like a toaster strudel. "You look beautiful, baby." He kissed me again. I smiled my winning smile.

"Came to take me away, oh knight in shining armor?" I laughed.

"Yes, we shall ride Pikachu into the sunset-- or at least to my house." He smiled.

"To do...what?" I said, my eyes wide with fear. Before I met Stan, I knew all about his games. Make a girl fall in love, and then just use her for sex.

Stan gaped at me, reading my mind again. "Whoa, kitty. Forget whatever it is you're thinking, okay? I just wanted you to meet my dad...I know about the rumors, but I would never do that to you."

I glared at him. "Why? Because I'm a sick and lowly girl?"

"Because I love you more than myself, more than anything, or anyone else. I would do anything for you at the drop of a hat. You know that, Kat," He kissed my cheek. "You know me."

I sighed and clung to him. He was right. I knew him. I loved him. I reached up and kissed his nose. "I'm sorry baby." I whispered. Stan locked his fingers with mine and smiled wordlessly, and I knew I was forgiven.

We got inside Pikachu and drove off, singing stupid love songs and pretending to be rockstars until we came to a quiet, nice looking house with trees surrounding it.

"Mi casa," Stan said bitterly. I wondered why, but before I could ask him, he kissed me again, stunning my thoughts, grabbed my hand and led me inside.
