"Dad when are we leaving for London?" Niall asks his father that Thursday morning before school.
"After Liam's practice Saturday morning, love. You'll still be able to hang out with Sean tomorrow don't worry," Harry replies to his youngest child as he finishes packing the boys' lunches. "Liam hurry up!" Harry then shouts up the stairs only for his eldest to appear downstairs a few moments later.
"Why are you in such a hurry? We don't have to leave for another fifteen minutes," Liam asks in an annoyed manner as he grabs Niall's half finished bowl of cereal. He knew his brother wasn't going to eat any more of it anyways"I have to drop you off a bit early because Niall's teacher wants to have a word with me. Apparently someone isn't too keen on turning in his homework," Harry says while giving the blonde a stern look.
"Wait just drop me off at Andy's first! I don't wanna get there early," Liam practically begged but Harry just shook his head assuming the boy was just feeling lazy.
"Relax it won't be that bad, Liam. C'mon everyone in the car," Harry said as he guided Niall from his seat and a sulking Liam followed.
The car ride went by much quicker than Liam was hoping for, and soon the boy was saying goodbye to his father before he was finally alone and more scared than ever. Liam always took pride in the fact that he was a good student. He enjoyed being able to be an athlete while also breaking the stereotype that all athletes are dumb. On the contrary he was extremely smart, some would even say gifted, however, not everyone thought it was that amazing of an accomplishment.
So as Liam stood at the front of the school campus by himself he knew if he wanted to go through the day without any injuries he would have to find somewhere to spend his time until the bell rang. Liam put his backpack on his shoulders and kept his head down as he made his way into the building, however, before he could even enter the doors he felt a hand on his shoulder causing him to flinch ever so slightly.
"You alright, Liam?" Liam hears Louis asks with a concerned tone, and immediately he felt his body relax.
"Y-yeah, sorry were you calling me before?" Liam asks.
"No but Zayn was pointing at you. Think he wanted to say hello," Louis cooed as he bounced the boy who was hiding his face in Louis' shoulder. "Say hi, baby, no need to be shy."
And slowly but surely Zayn took his head out of Louis' shoulder until he was looking at Liam and giving the older boy a shy wave before putting his face right back into Louis' shoulder.
"Hi Zaynie," Liam cooed as he placed a hand on the toddler's back, however, the little boy just looked right back up at Louis.
"Dada, c'lor," Liam heard Zayn say quietly.
"I'll go look at your colors when we get to your class," Louis coos while kissing the boy's forehead, however, Zayn just shakes his head while pointing at Liam. "You want Liam to see your drawings?" And when Zayn smiles Louis concludes he understood the boy.
"I would love to see your drawings, Zee," Liam says with almost a sigh of relief because now he has an excuse to hide.
So with that being said Louis guides Liam over to the younger boy's classroom where Zayn immediately squirms out of Louis' grasp and holds onto Liam's hand before dragging the boy over to his cubby. One by one the little boy would grab his drawings and hand them to Liam as he pointed to a few with a bit more excitement and wait for Liam to say something or smile in return to them. And honestly Liam was a bit surprised at the art he saw.
He never thought a two year could actually be artistic, but for some reason Zayn was. Sure it was nothing too amazing, really it was just scribbles, but they were cool scribbles. Like they were all one color, however, it was almost as if the boy made them ombre. The top of the page would start off really dark and by the bottom it was practically white, and occasionally there would be a random stick figure drawing in the middle.
