As the weekend ended the two merging families unfortunately had to go back to the reality of work and school in Manchester. Not to say they don't enjoy each other's company while they're there, but there was just something about being away that made everything seem that much more special.

But now it's Wednesday morning and everyone is fully back into the groove of their daily routines which includes Liam quietly eating his breakfast while reading the What You Missed on his twitter feed. Niall was beside the boy watching whatever cartoon Harry left on for them, and Harry read the paper while sipping his cup of tea. Basically it was calm and for some weird reason, the morning is the only time you'll find the Styles' residence calm.

"Oh, Liam. Have you invited people over for your birthday on Friday?" Harry asks his son just as he puts his and the boys' dishes in the sink.

"Yeah I've told a few people," Liam says, looking up from his phone only to stare at his lap. "Uh, dad? I really don't want this to be a big thing. Like I would rather it just be us three, you can have Louis come over, and like Andy."

"Nonsense, Liam. You only turn fifteen once, plus you haven't had a birthday party in years. I promise you this will be fun," Harry says as he kisses the boy's forehead before telling the boys it's time to go.

So they continue their morning routine of driving to school, Liam being dropped off closer to the preparatory school rather than the academy because Harry still likes to walk Niall in. And for once Liam was actually happy to have gotten to school early because lucky for him Louis' class was open and he was able to seek refuge in there.

"Morning Liam," Louis says in a coo like voice, which confuses Liam at first but then he notices the toddler on the man's lap.

"Hi Mr. Tomlinson. What's Zayn doing here?" Liam asks as he sits in his seat.

"He had a little episode last night and didn't want to go to daycare this morning, so Ashton's gonna come pick him up in a little bit," Louis says as he continues to tickle the little boy's belly in hopes to help stop the light flow of tears that were still falling.

Liam nods in sympathy as he turns back down to his phone where he's texting his friend Andy about nonsense. Eventually, though, the bell rings and Louis places Zayn down in his seat as he gets up to start taking roll.

Homeroom always tends to be an easy time because for the most part once roll is called you're allowed to do whatever you want until the next bell for class rings. So with everyone talking to one another, asking about what's going on this weekend, Liam feels as if now's the best time to mention his birthday. So on nervous feet the boy turns so he's facing the group talking and quietly begins to talk his way in.

"Um, it's my birthday Friday, so I was gonna throw a party. S'gonna be down at the banquet hall in SyCo Records," Liam says and much to his surprise people actually listened to him.

"That sounds cool, do we need an invite or just tell them we're there for you?" A kid Liam thinks is named Alec asks.

"I've got vouchers that'll get you into the studio building and then from there they'll just let you go anywhere," Liam says as he grabs his bag and begins to pass them out.

As the puppy eyed boy continues to smile and pass out the vouchers, he doesn't seem to notice the fond eyes of his teacher on him because this is the first time the man's noticed him taking in an interest in his peers. And with Louis admiring the boy's now talkative ways, he doesn't seem to notice his own son leaving from the safety of under his desk until he sees him approaching Liam's legs.

The little boy taps the older boy's legs until Liam is turning around in confusion before looking down to find the culprit. Once he did, though, Liam couldn't help but break out into a smile as he lifted the little boy up.
