Ivy's POV

We all rushed out of the big house, Percy taking out a pen, Piper and Annabeth taking out there daggers, Jason flying, (I repeat, flying over head) and, well you get it. Every one had weapons out, except me. Great, just great. But did I stop, think about what I was doing, maybe just wait where it was safe, but no, I ran with them into the danger. Smart, I know.

As I ran, I could feel something tense in the air, even more tense then it had been in the big house. I could hear the monsters, screaming and screeching, up ahead. It sounded urgent, and I sensed something was off. Don't make fun of me, I just felt something off. For some reason that only made me run faster. When we finally made it close enough to the woods, I saw a huge crowd of campers standing a safe distance away. Some were in pajamas, some in full body armed, and some in simple orange shirts and jeans. It was a strange combination. Most days I would have probably started laughing at the sight, but the fear on there faces stifled any jokes or laughter. And who could blame them, with so many monsters standing within the trees screaming as they were. The group stopped at a safe distance away, staring in amazement as all the monsters fell silent at once.

There wasn't a single sound in camp, just an eerie silent. The pull seemed to be, well, pulling harder. It was so strong, almost knocking me over. My feet seemed to move of its own accord, moving me closer to the woods and the monsters within. My mind seemed to turn off. None of the campers seemed to notice, maybe because I had run around them and was now a good distance away from the group, or maybe because they were too busy watching, transfixed, at the monsters. I knew this was a bad idea, a dumb, idiotic move, but I just kept walking. I was nearing the edge of the woods, the monsters staying silent.

Not a single monster so much as moved. I was so close, just another couple feet until I could reach the trees, but just then two strong arms rapped around me. I tried to keep going, but the arms were stronger then me. A monster, something that looked like a giant scorpion, as big as a eight wheeler, came barreling out of the woods. It let out a battle cry, charging, and the arms around me tightened as my feet lifted off the ground.

We shot up into the air, flying backwards and stopped a safe distance away. The arms dropped me a couple feet above the ground, and I fell, very ungracefully, onto the ground right onto my back side. I didn't realy notice though, as Jason went flying back towards the monster, which was still charging towards us. A sword seemed to appear out of no where and into his hands as he flew at the monster. He went right through it, and the monster exploded into golden dust behind him. He landed on the ground and looked out into the woods. No other monster moved a muscle. After a little while, the largest ones left and disappeared back into the woods, but some still seemed to be frozen in place.

The group from the big house started to advance, slowly putting there weapons down as they approached. Annabeth reached one and tentatively held out her hand, it didn't move, just standing there. "What's going on here?" She seemed to ask no one in particular.

A large smile spread across Leo's face. He snuck behind Percy and grabbed the pen from him. Percy spun around, but Leo had already uncapped the pen. It grew into a large sword right before my eyes. "What do you think you're doing?" Percy demanded. Leo just rolled his eyes. "Oh, Percy, don't get all worked up, I'm just crossing something off my bucket list." "Wha-" Percy started to ask, but then Leo put the lid on the bottom of the sword and it morphed back into a pen.

"How did you know it could do that?" Percy asks. Leo just walks towards the closest monster. "It wasn't that hard to figure out. What, did you not know?" Percy just glared at him.

Leo takes the pen and walked up to the monster, one that looked like an oversized wild cat, and started to do something with its face. We all stared at him in amazement, and watched as he did, well, I don't really know for sure, but it looks like he draws on the deadly monsters face? Leo seemed to be satisfied with his work, and moved away, and we all stared in shock. The monster now had a pen mustache and what looked like glasses, but I wasn't sure. One thing I could tell for sure was that Leo was not a gifted artist.

"Oh, I wish I had a camera right now." Leo said. Leo and Percy gave each other a knuckle bump as they looked at there master piece. Annabeth just shook her head and hid behind her hands.

Percy took the pen from Leo and starts walking towards another monster, but before he could  all the monsters turned as one and disappeared  into the woods. Percy looked disappointed. Leo came over and patted him on the back. "Next time, man." He said.
