Ivy's POV

When I make it into the woods, I let the tears fall. I had been holding them back for too long, and now they streaked down my face. I felt like curling into a ball and cry, but even more then that I wanted to run, to try to get away. As far away from the camp, from that article, from the memories as I could. But there was no way to run away from what happened. No way to forget. There was no where to hide, no way to run from the past. But that didn't mean I couldn't try.
I ran through the woods, my vision blurred from the tears. I wiped my eyes, hoping it would help me see where I was going, but that was before I felt my foot catch on something. My arms whipped in front of me as I fell to the ground. I hit the hard floor and looked back. I saw a large rock, which I hadn't seen in the path. My foot throbs where I had hit the rock, but I didn't care about the pain, I just wanted to get away.
I lifted my self up off the ground and started to run again. The pain intensified with every step I took, but after a couple minutes of running I forgot about it. I didn't know where I was going, I didn't care. All that mattered was the distance between me and the camp. I didn't know what to do next. Maybe I would have kept running. I was so lost in thought that I almost ran right into the wall in front of me. It was a huge cliff, towering above me. I looked up at the smooth stone, then around me. There was no one around, and my legs were now shaking. Not from exhaust, but from the intense emotion eating away at me. I couldn't run any more, couldn't even stand, so I leaned on the wall and slid down the the ground.
My back was against the cold, hard stone, my knees tucked up to my chin. I sat there and just cried. I don't know how much time had gone past, but after the tears dried up and the sobs could no longer come, I heard shouting. Lifting my head up I gazed out into the woods. At first I couldn't tell what was being said, but when it got louder and closer I heard it more clearly.
"Ivy!" I wiped my nose and looked out into the woods. "Ivy!" The voice came again, and I slowly stood up on my shaky legs. I tried to call out, to tell whoever it was that I was okay, but nothing came out. So I just waited. A couple minutes latter, Hugo ran out if the woods, heaving for breath. When he saw me, he froze. I backed up against the wall, afraid of what he thought of me. I wanted to disappear, for the rock to consume me, and that's exactly what it did.
The rock behind me glowed, then fell out from behind me as a massive door opened up and I fell in. I hit my head on the hard floor and lay there, dizzy. I heard the massive door close, and soon my eyes focused once again. I sat up and looked around. My gasped.
I was in a massive room, the sealing so high I could barely see it. Around the room were random assortment of objects, broken projects, tools, scrap metal, and the occasional random taco wrapper. The room smelled of grease, exhaust, gasoline, smoke, and some other smells I couldn't identify.
I was looking around, so lost in thought that I didn't even notice I wasn't alone. I had been standing there, looking around when I heard metal banging on metal. I jumped and whirled around, looking for the cause if the noise. I turned around from where the sound came and heard another crash. It was coming from a room, the door agar. I slowly walked towards the door as more noises came from the room. There were crunches and scrapes, like metal being ripped apart. When I made it to the door, I peaked in and felt my eyes widen.
In the middle of the room was a plat form with chains around it, looking like a wrestling rink. But instead of some burly guys in the cage were two massive robots. One of blue while the other was red. They were almost seven feet tall, and we're fighting. The blue tried to punch the red, but it ducked just in time. While the blue's arm was still sticking out, before it could try to punch again, the red punched it in the chest. I heard the sickening crash come from the massive punch, which I recognized from what up heard earlier. As I watched, they attacked each other with their fists, more crashed coming from them. I was so shocked, I didn't realize the door I was leaning on started to open from my weight until it wasn't there anymore. I fell into the room and the noises stopped.
I looked up and saw the robots were now frozen, the red's fist in the middle of a swing at the blue's head. I hear a noise from the other side of the room, and that's when I see him.
Leo stands there, starring at me in shock. He holds something that looks like a remote controller and has something on his head, a type of band thing. I just lay there, sprawled on the floor, too shocked to move. The spell breaks and Leo comes over, helping me up. I almost gag from the stench of oil that comes from him. It's so strong it seems to come off him in waves. He grabs me around the shoulders and helps me up.
"How did you get in here?" He asks. I thought he was mad at me, until I turned and saw his face. He has a goofy grin on his grease stained face. "I-I don't know." I say honestly. "One moment I was leaning on the wall, the next this huge door opened up behind me and I kinda fell in."
Leo's smile turns to a frown, but not in frustration or annoyance like I thought, but he has a thoughtful look. He looses interest quickly. "Do you want to see what I made." He says excitedly. "Um, well first of all there's some one outside who is probably freaking out because he saw me eaten by a rock wall." Leo runs out of the room and I follow him. He stops at a high-tech computer thing. There are five screens, all from different points of view of outside, inside, a room with green glowing lights, and who knows what else. It goes through rounds of different places and I am amazed at how many hidden cameras there are. While I stare at the screens, Leo sits down in a rolling computer chair and I expect him to start typing on some hidden key board, but instead he grabs a remote that looks suspiciously like a Xbox controller. He starts pressing buttons and the screens change. I look back up at the screen and see five different angles if Hugo. Some are close up while others are from a farther distance.
I look down at Leo. "Are you going to let him in?" I ask. Leo only smiles and I see a mischievous glint in his eyes. I guess it's contagious, because soon I'm smiling too. "Time to test out some surprises I put out there." Leo says. I feel like I should be scared on behalf if Hugo, but instead I just feel excitement. Leo presses a button and a microphone thing comes out if the table in front of us.
"Watch this." He says, then presses the trend talk button. He leans toward and speaks into the mic. "Who dares disturb the sanctuary if the great and powerful Supreme Overlord!" The voice goes booming out of hidden speakers and I feel the ground shake. The Mic somehow was programmed to make his voice sound different, because now it is deep and commanding. Leo takes his hand off the talk button. "That's the Zeus setting." Leo explains. I have to fight back a laugh. When I see Hugo's face, I can't hold it back any more. Leo turns on the speakers again while I an laughing. It comes out high pitched and sounds me like an evil cackle. At that I only laugh harder, treats coming to my eyes. I sort a few times and it sounds like a fearsome roar. When I hear it I keel over, laughing so hard no sound come out. Leo turns off the speaker.
After I compose my self, well, more like after I quite down and laugh quietly, I look back up at the screens. I can tell Hugo's confused and maybe a little scared, but he stands his ground. "Where's Ivy?" He yells. I'm impressed his voice doesn't break. There must be speakers out there as well, because we can hear it clearly. "Ivy who?" Leo says. Hugo glares at the rock. "Oh," Leo says, "that Ivy. Oh, yeah, she's my slave now." Leo turns around in his chair, still pressing the talk button. "Yo, maid, your boyfriend is looking for you!" He yells, and it goes booming out the speaker. "He's not my boyfriend!" I yell at the same time as Hugo yells, "she's not my girlfriend." I guess Leo still hadn't taken his figure off the speaker button, because it goes booming out of the speakers. Hugo glares at the rock more intent now. "Ivy, where are you?" His voice is deadly, and I hear my self squeal in fear. I lean over Leo and whisper in his ear, "Please tell me there's a back door." Leo shakes his head. We stare at the screen and the now ticked off Hugo. After a few seconds Leo stands up from the chair and walks towards the massive door.
"What are you doing?" I demand. Leo turns to me and shrugs. "Letting him in." He says. "At least you could give me time to hide." I mutter, but he ignored me. When he got to the door, he holds out his hand and I watch as the door starts to glow. It slowly opens, and out side stands the waiting Hugo. When he sees me, his entire face changes. He runs in and over to me.
He grabs my shoulders and looks into my eyes. "Are you okay?" He asks. I look at the ground. I had been hiding from what happened, but now I had to face it. I step back, out of his grasp, and rap my arms around my self. Leo walks over, looking awkward. "Well." He says, clapping his hands together. "I'll be over there, working on stuff and . . . other stuff." He quickly walks over to the room I had found him in earlier and closes the thick metal door.
Now I was alone with Hugo. Now I had to face what happened and either risk telling him and be rejected once again or not tell him and leave him in the dark.
