Chapter 10

Alexander's POV

I opened my eyes and saw Rose.  She was dressed in the most beautiful white dress ever.  Everyone we knew and loved was there watching us.  Her eyes teared up as she made her way to me.  I ignored the music in the background and focused on her.  The way the moon lit up her dress was amazing.  She was truly amazing.

"We are gathered here today to join this man and this women in holy matrimony."  I smiled but she wasn't looking at me.  She was looking at another guy.  Someone in front of me.  I turned and saw who it was.  Dimitri.  His eyes shone red and his fangs glistened in the candle light.

I shot up right and looked at Rose.  She was watching Christian and Lissa while I took a nap.  "You okay?"  Her voice was low and I saw a loving Christian and Lissa asleep together.

"I'm fine.  Just a nightmare.  So I was thinking, um would you like to go out with me tomorrow night?  I know Christian and Lissa are planning on going to a nice date tomorrow maybe we could go to."  She smiled and blushed a little nodding.

"Do you know where they are going so I know what to wear?" 

"Um I think he was going to take her out to eat.  Or maybe just some sight seeing.  Either way I would love to take you."  She smiled a warm smile and I nearly melted right there.  She was amazing.

Rose POV

That night I hardly got any sleep.  Alexander had asked me out again.  Was I stupid to say yes?  I mean he makes me forget about Dimitri and Adrian.  And he seems perfect.  We are the same age, he is amazingly gorgeous, and he's helping me with stuff I never knew I needed help with.  Like getting over Dimitri. 

"Lis?"  I said quietly.  She stirred in her sleep and turned to me.

"What?"  She hissed.  Obviously not a good middle of the night person

"Alexander asked me out again."  She shot right up at that and turned on the light.

"Did you say yes?"  I nodded and sighed.  "Then what's the problem?"

"Lis, I feel kind of bad.  Cause I mean what if I lead him on.  I don't want that.  But I can't help it.  He's making me forget about Dimitri.  He's helping me forget about Adrian.  I haven;t had that nightmare since we went on that first date.  I just, was I stupid to say yes to him?"  She threw a pillow at me.

"No you are not stupid for say yes to him!  Rose I am so happy for you!  You are finally dating again.  You need this.  Christian and I are tired of seeing you so sad all the time.  We want you to be in love, to get married, to be able to be the old Rose again."

"I am the old Rose..."  I argued.

"No the old Rose would party, would look at boys, would want to dress to impress, wouldn't let the horrible things in life bring her down.  Where is that Rose that was my sister?  That Rose that Dimitri and Adrian fell in love with.  We all want her back.  Not this corpse you've left us with.  I hate it Rose!  I want my sister back!"  Her words caught me off guard.  Lissa never acted differently around me since I came back.  To see her act this way was different, it was hurting me.  I loved her and didn't want her to feel this way towards me.

"Lissa," I saw the tears escaping her eyes and I went to hug her.  "I'll bring that Rose back.  I'll bring your sister back.  Just give me some time okay?  But I promise you I'll come back."  She cried into my shoulder for a good hour till her sobs became quiet and the room slowly did to.  She wanted her sister back, I'd bring her back.
