Chapter 11

Two weeks later

The weeks flew by as Alexander and I tried everything to get together more often.  I guess that's what leads me here tonight.  Off duty, waiting for Alexander to get off.  But the thing is, I'm drifting off to sleep.

  And that never ended good for me, but to late now.  I slowly began to see the same room I once had at the academy.  But this was more of a flashback.  I could see bodies moving, well a body, moving up and down using there hips.  At first I thought maybe I was being pulled into what was really happening right now but then I saw the all to familiar face.  It was me and Adrian. 

"Beautiful, isn't it?"  I turned and almost screamed.  There Adrian was, red eyed and fang prepared.

"Adrian?"  I kept my voice low and tried not to let him scare me.

"Rose, you really thought you were rid of me?"  He grabbed my neck and I almost cried.  "What makes you think Alexander is going to be any different from Dimitri and myself?  He'll end up turning strigoi and trying to kill you.  Haven't you realized this yet Rose?  You aren't meant to be happy."  I let a single tear slide down my cheek but it was replaced by a gentle kiss.

I looked up and saw Alexander.  We were sitting on the beach hand in hand.  "Rose you are so beautiful," as he got on one knee I almost fainted.  He pulled out a box.  "Will you marry me Rose Hathaway?"  I nearly fainted.

"Yes!"  I screamed, but woke up.

"Hey beautiful.  You were having a nightmare so I decided to calm you down," Alexander's eyes bore into mine.  That was why Adrian had disappeared.  Alexander had helped me.  Lately when ever Alexander calms me everything else disappears.

"Are you ready to go?"  I asked and he shook his head.

"We aren't going anywhere.  Lissa and Christian went away for the night and that leaves you and me alone.  I figured we could watch a couple movies, order pizza, then go to sleep."  I smiled and nodded.  That sounded perfect.

And it truly was, the hours went by faster than I could of waned and I found Alexander and I making out on the couch.  But soon we made our way to his bedroom, to the bed, and we floated away in our own bliss.

Three hours later

Alexander collapsed beside me.  We had finished and started all over again.  He was amazing in bed, I must have orgasmed at least ten times.  But just as everything else never seems to end perfect I was pulled into Lissa's head.  There was fire everywhere.  Christian had Lissa pushed into a corner and he was fighting off five strigoi.  Well four now.  The guardians laid dead by the door.  I looked for clues as to where she was and that's when I saw it, this, wasn't suppose to be a room.  This was a cave.

It was dated three years ago.  The night of the attack on the academy.  This was the cave I was turned into a strigoi in.  What the hell were the doing there?  But just as quickly as I was pulled in I was pushed out.

"Alexander get dressed now!"  I screamed as I hurried for my pants and bra.  He looked at me a little confused but did as I said.

"Rose tell me what is going on!"  He said as I rushed out of the house to the car.

"Christian and Lissa are in trouble!"  That was all he needed and we were off.  It took roughly around 15 minutes to fly down the highway to the entrance of the academy.  I didn't let any of the guards stop me, I rushed off the way I once had to fight of the group of strigoi three years prior.

I could hear Lissa's screams and heard Christian's plea's.  They didn't have long.  But lucky for them I wasn't far.  I ran in the entrance of the cave and tackled two staking them.  But three quickly jumped on me not showing any sign of weakness.  I looked at Christian and Lissa.  Alexander was moving them out.  I smiled and fought my way through the strigoi till they were dead.  Gone.  As I walked out of the cave I saw my gang.  Lissa was crying in Christian's chest and Alexander was watching them.  I smiled they were safe.

But not for long.  five more strigoi grabbed Alexander and carried him off.  I felt my heart break but couldn't go after him.  Lissa and Christian were my main focus.  But I kept my eyes on Alexander.  He never once let his fear show.  Once they were out of sight I hurried Christian and Lissa back to the academy.  Where they were treated to and I was left to wander while they rested.  But it wasn't much time when I finally broke down and fell. 

I loved him!  Why couldn't I have seen it before?  Why was fate such a b*tch to me?  Why every single time I fall in love they take him away?  He was mostly likely dead now or worse...
