Chapter 1

Rainbow Dash was sitting on a cloud. She sighed to her self. What Spitfire said earlier made her feel low. At the same time a light cyan colt was flying by, his feathers gliding in the air. One of his feathers fell down below. Soarin heard a small sneeze. He looked down to see a glossy - eyed Rainbow Dash. He wisped down, looking at the cyan mare. The feather was sitting on her muzzel, she sneezed once more, this time the feather brushed past Soarin, only then did Rainbow know he was there.
"Hey Dash" Soarin said. "Oh, hey Soarin" Soarin looked at her, he was bewildered to see such a young, jumpy, mare almost burst into tears. Soarin instantly remembered what Spitfire had said to the poor mare earlier on. "Rainbow listen, you aren't what Spitfire said. You are totally cool, totally fast, and you can do things that other ponies have only dreamed about doing. You're extrarodinary Rainbow Dash!" Rainbow dash looked at him, her face growing warmer by the second. She smiled. Soarin noticed how she was blushing, and he noticed other things too. One of the things being how her eyes glistened whilst he was complementing her. Another thing is that she twitched her ears at the tiniest sound of his feathers. She was very observant of her surroundings. Soarin gulped. Soarin reached is hoof to her face, and softly placing it on her cheek. She blushed even harder, staring at the colt in wide eyes. Soarin forgot what he was doing, he smiled, blushing lightly. "You are extraodenary." He said stretching out the last word. Soarin decided not to do anything he would regret, so he just pulled her into a soft, warm hug. Rainbow nuzzled into is soft fur. They were both blushing madly. But then Soarin heard a beep sound. He looked at his watch, it read '5:00'. "Oh, no! I'm gonna be late for the Wonderbolt meeting." Surprise always eats all the food, and she eats the pie if Soarin is late. Soarin was in a hurry so he didn't say much, but when he did it was all jumbled up, because he was in a rush. "ByeRainbowDashIloveyou!" He said, not paying attention to words. Soarin quickly flew off. He wanted to face palm. Rainbow Dash was speechless, 'did Soarin just say that? No he wouldn't love a mare like me, besides love is for dweebs.' Rainbow Dash thought.
