Chapter 2

THE NEXT DAY*

*Rainbow Dash's pov*
Soarin wouldn't love a pony like me, would he? Besides, I need to get to work, maybe it will get all this lovey-dovey mushy stuff out of my head. I start to kick clouds, first one, then two, then twelve, then the whole sky. That was the only job I could do. So I decide to go see if Pinkie needs any help at Sugar Cube Corner. I zipped through the town, wasting no time. I walk through the door. That's weird all the lights are off. I flip the light on. "Surprise!!!!" All of Ponyville must've yelled. "Woah guys, what is this for?" I asked. Pinkie Pie trotted over to me. "Your gonna be a Wonderbolt Dashie!!" Pinkie screamed at me. I only sat there, I was so surprised, since Spitfire said all those things to me. "Dashie? Well your going to have to go the the Wonderbolts' H.Q.." Pinkie told me. I saved no words, I flew to the H.Q. as fast a possible. I stopped at the main door. I walk in calmly. I go to Spitfire's office. "Spitfire, is this true?" I ask. Spitfire nodded at me, handed me my suit, and pin. "Thank you Spitfire." I say, my lip quivering. "You've earned it rookie." I put the suit on, and flew out the room, but I bump into somepony.

*Third Pony pov*
Soarin looked at the new Wonderbolt. "Uh sorry, wait, Dash is that you?!" Soarin asked. "Yup, it's me, I'm a Wonderbolt now Soar!" Rainbow practically yelled. "That's great Dashie!" Soarin said, full of excitement. Soarin had no more words. Rainbow was just about to say bye and head back to her friends. But she felt something warm enclose her. She looked to see what it was. Soarin was hugging her again. She smiled blushed and nuzzled into him. "I can't wait to fly with you Dashie." Soarin said in almost a whisper. Rainbow blushed even more. "Woah! What is this, is Dashie dating Soarin?!" Somepony screamed behind Rainbow. Rainbow looked to see who it was. "Surprise!!! I didn't know you were here!!" Soarin frantically yelled. Dash and Soar both jumped from eachothers' hold. "We are not dating!!!" They said at the same time. "Sure, I totally believe that!" Surprise said sarcastically. Rainbow couldn't take it any more she flew home. She put her Wonderbolt suit up, and went outside, to watch the sunset on a cloud. Soarin looked for Rainbow Dash. He then spotted her on a cloud in the distance. He flew over to her, and he sat down next to her. Rainbow could feel the extra warmth next to her. She sighed. "Hey Soar." She said. Soarin only did one thing. He stood up and asked Rainbow something, "Do you wanna race~?" She smiled. Rainbow nodded. The two ponies playfully flew, acasionally bumping into eachother. Soarin decided to tickle Rainbow's muzzle with the feathers on his wings. Rainbow sneezed. Soarin loved her sneeze. Rainbow looked over at Soarin, she could only see him thinking. She loved certain things about him. His eyes like emeralds shimmering, made Rainbow want to melt away, but she didn't notice that those eyes were looking directly at her now. The two ponies sat on the nearest cloud. Soarin looked at her. He smiled and did something that he probably would regret. He looked at her leaned in. Rainbow felt something warm, and soft of her mouth. She looked to see Soarin right in front of her, kissing her. Rainbow tried hard to keep her wings down. She closed her eyes and kissed back. They both leaned back, staring into eachothers' eyes. "Wow..." They both said at the same time. All of the sudden they both started laughing, their faces getting rosy. They both got up, said their goodbyes and flew home, but Rainbow completely forgot about the party. She put on her suit and flew to the party. She entered but only her closest friends were there. "Hi guys." Rainbow said nervously. "Rainbow, you were gone a lot longer then you should have been, what happened?" Rainbow broke into another blush. "I...I..IwaswithSoarin!" Rainbow Dash said quickly. Rainbow's friends all gasped.
