It was around lunch time the next day and I couldn't take it anymore. I had to talk to Michael. There was something that just fascinated me. I grabbed some candy and walked over to his door. I made sure no one was coming, and I knocked. It took a minute for him to come to the door. The door cracked open and I moved out of view. The door opened a little more and I caught a glimpse of his glowing green eyes.
"M-Michael?" I said stepping into view.
The door instantly slammed shut.
"My names Skyler. I'm friends with Calum." I said.
"I-I know. H-he told me about you." He said.
His voice was angelic.
"I'd like to get to know you a little better. Calum has told me a lot about you." I told him.
"Please go away."
"But I-"
"Please. Please just leave." He begged.
"Skyler! What are you doing?!" Calum said.
"I was-"
The door cracked open.
"Calum! Calum! Please make her leave!" Michael called.
"Come with me." He said.
"I'm sorry. I'll FaceTime you." He said to Michael.
He closed the door and Calum led me back to his place.
"Why did you do that?! What were you thinking!" Calum yelled.
"I just- I just want to get to know him. He seems s-so interesting." I said just above a whisper.
"I'm sorry I yelled. I'm just very protective of him with how he is. He's just scared. Maybe he will talk to you on FaceTime?" Calum said.
"Okay." I nodded.
Calum grabbed his phone and started to FaceTime Michael. Whenever he answered all I heard was huffing.
"Michael calm down. It's okay. She wasn't going to hurt you." Calum soothed.
"I-I-it just s-scared m-me." He said.
That voice was everything. It was like this boy had put a spell on me and I hadn't even properly seen him. Michael had calmed down and Calum looked over at me.
"She um, she's here and I think you should talk to her." Calum said.
"I don't know." Michael said.
"Can you just trust me?"
"Okay fine." Michael huffed.
I sat down next to Calum and that was the first time I seen Michael properly. His bright red hair looked amazing, his eyes were to die for. And he was really pale yet beautiful. It suited him.
"Hi." He said.
"Hi. I'm Skyler." I smiled.
"Michael." He said.
I felt something in my pocket and remembered I had candy. I pulled out a bag of Jolly Ranchers. I ate a blue raspberry one and offered Calum one. He took the same color.
"What's that?" Michael asked.
"Jolly Ranchers. They are amazing. Would you like some?" I asked.
"Um, sure." He said.
I got up and walked out of Calum's apartment and down to Michael's door. I took one of each kind out of the bag and put them on the ground. I ran back to Calum's room and sat back beside him.
"There is one of every kind." I told Michael.
Michael got up and cracked open the door. He crouched down and grabbed the candy then slammed the door. He looked down at them as he went back to his couch. He opened the blue one and looked at it for the longest.
"He's never had candy before. I'm excited to see this." Calum whispered.
Michael stuck the Jolly Rancher in his mouth and smiled.
"This is amazing!"he exclaimed.
Calum and I smiled at each other. We looked like proud parents. We continued to watch as he ate the others. He loved them all except the Cherry one.
"Well I should be getting home." I said.
"It was nice to talk to you Skyler. And thank you for the candy." Michael smiled.
"No problem." I smiled back.
"I'll be going to Cal. Bye guys!" Michael said and hung up.
"Thank you for that. He looked genuinely happy today. I haven't seen him like that in a while." Calum smiled.
"No problem." I said again.
Calum hugged me and I walked back to my apartment. That night as I laid in my bed I smiled up at the ceiling, because I actually made two people happy today.
