I woke up in the middle of the night. My mind kept me awake. All the thoughts were swarming around my head like hornets. All the thoughts had the same question; what's next?
I turned over, and I saw my beautiful Baby sleeping beside me. She really was adorable when she slept. She made soft breaths each second. When I touched her body, it was cold and she was shivering.
I got up from bed and pulled a spare blanket under the bed. I unfolded it and I gently draped it over her body, and I crawled back in bed.
Under the blanket, I wrapped my arm around her waist and kept her close to me, keeping her warm.
I never had met anyone like Baby. But then again, There was only one person like Baby, and that was Baby Houseman herself.
I kissed her temple, and I laid back, slowly drifting off to sleep.

The next morning, I awoke to Baby on top of me, and her lips pressed to mine. I grew instantly happy and I kissed her in return, sitting up and my hand going on her back.
I pushed her on the bed and hovered over her, and I planted small kisses down her body. She shook a little as I did, but I got the message; she wanted more.
"Later, Baby, okay?" I asked, a smirk still remaining on my lips.
She nodded and sat up. "Okay..."
We got up out of bed and I tossed her one of my tee shirts, and her pair of white jeans that she had left here. I wasn't going to make her wear her dress.
"I forgot shoes.." Baby groaned, looking up at the ceiling.
"You left your Keds here the other day, Baby." I chuckle, handing them to her.
She smiled and changed.
I had changed into a white tee shirt that practically stuck to my body, and a pair of black pants.
"Baby, what do you wanna do after summer?" I asked her, pulling her close.
"I thought I wanted to be in the Peace Corps-but now I just wanna be with you. I think I'm better off." She smiles, laying her head on my shoulder.
"Baby, are you sure?" I asked. I didn't want her to be unhappy.
"I'm positive, Johnny." She says. Her voice was very, very tempting for me to just strip her again, but I kept still.
"Alright." I nod, stroking her cheekbone. "Let's go get breakfast." I offer her.
"Okay." She agrees and we go out to my car.

We got to the diner that was a couple miles away from the Kellerman's, and we went inside. It wasn't that busy this morning, so we were seated in a booth.
Baby's face looked uneasy, and she looked like she was thinking too hard.
"What's on your mind, Baby?" I asked her, holding her hand across the table.
"I...I just don't know what to tell my father. I mean-He's already got me accepted into Mount Holyoke College in the fall." She says, wrapping her fingers around my hand.
"But is the Peace Corps something you desire?"
"Not anymore..." She says.
"Then tell him that. Tell him that you want to do your own thing."
She then nods. "Okay...."
We then order our breakfast and after a little bit, it comes to us.
Baby ate slowly, but me on the other hand-Hell, I stuffed my face. I do think I deserved it after dancing my ass off last night.
[...]
We finished our food and I paid, and we left. But, Baby was nervous to go back home. No, scratch that. She was scared.
Her heart was beating so fast and she looked like she was about to cry. I quickly pulled over to the side of the road and I held her in my arms. That's when the tears started flowing.
"Oh, Baby..." I whispered, holding her close. "I won't let them hurt you no more..." I spoke softly, and she was slowly being comforted.
"I promise, Baby-I will never leave you. I promise..."
I didn't speak and just held her, rocking her body a little bit. I wasn't going to break my promise to her. Not in a million years.
