What the hell?! I never expected to be a father just yet, and with a premature baby, it's gonna be even harder. They simply just took Baby away from me. My Baby.
I bolted down the hall after them, and I could hear Baby screaming for me and they jabbed a needle in her arm to give her morphine. They went into a room and locked the door. They actually think that'll keep me out.
I banged on the door, and ended up kicking it open.
"Sir, you can't be in here during a c-section!" One of the doctors snapped.
"Ma'am, you let men see their women's vaginas in normal birth, and they could be jerking off at that very moment, so I recommend you let me stay." I instantly retorted. The doctors rolled their eyes and scoffed at me, but at least I got to stay.
Baby was clearly in a state of panic. She was breathing hard and sweating. She was changed into a gown, and they kept her lower half concealed from Baby and I.
"Baby. Baby, it's okay..." I whispered, running my hands threw her hair.
"Johnny..." She whimpered, feeling the pain get bigger and bigger. She already looked about to pop.
They gave me the heads-up for when they were going to start cutting at her stomach.
"Baby...Baby, just bite my hand and scream into it when you feel it." I say, putting my hand up to her mouth.
Within seconds, she bit my hand and started screaming. I've never heard anyone scream as loud as she did. Her face turned beet red and she bit harder. It hurt like hell, but I couldn't complain.
"Baby, it's almost over..." I whispered, caressing her face with my free hand.
Soon, I heard cries. It was the cries of my daughter.
They instantly took her away from me before I could see her up close. All I could tell was that she was smaller than most newborn babies.
Baby had stopped her screaming, but she was still having after-pain.
"Baby, it's okay..." I assure her. "Everly's gonna be fine..." I promised.
"I...Is she okay?..." Baby managed.
"She will be. I promise you."

Baby ended up falling asleep, and that gave mw time to think. What was going to happen to our baby? I was scared out of my mind.
The doctor finally called me back, and I was able to see my baby girl. She was absolutely beautiful. She had the bluest of blue eyes, and Baby's nose. She had some of my facial features as well. She was wearing a pink little onesie that covered her feet and a white cap on her head. She was squirming a little bit, and she was on oxygen.
They allowed me to hold her, but to be extra careful. I picked her up out of the incubator type bed and I sat down, holding her carefully. She just looked up at me with those eyes. They were just like Baby's; big.
"Hi Evie..." I whispered softly, instantly nicknaming her. She made a couple sounds. It almost was like she was trying to respond. "Daddy's here-and I promise to take care of you, okay?..." I whispered. She just looked up at me. It was amazing how she didn't really cry. She was a beautiful baby though-and I was happy she was mine.
