She smiles and laughs, she talks with her friends, she looks happy.

She cries and grips her head, she's alone on the floor, she's miserable.

He has good grades, he does sports, nothing seems wrong.

He has cuts, he pulls down his sleeves, everything's wrong.

She says, "I'm fine," she acts like nothing happened, she appears strong.

She says, "One more," she remembers everything that happens, she's broken.

He tells them that he already ate, they see a smile on his face, they love him.

He tells himself that he shouldn't eat, he see a monster in the mirror, he hates himself.

She has friends, they tell her she's smart and pretty, she smiles and say thanks.

She has the voices in her head, they says she's stupid and ugly, she shouldn't be love, she believes it.

He's quiet, stays in his room, music blaring.

He scares to be made fun of, he doesn't want them to know, he doesn't want to hear the voices.

They smile less, they laugh less, they say, "I'm fine, just tired,"

They're scared that they're lying to them, they're secretly judging them, they just want to disappear.

Their love ones asked what's wrong, they say nothing with a smile.

They don't want anybody to know what's wrong, so they'll lie to hide their demons.

Their door is locked and you hear nothing, but a muffle sound.

It gets worse at night, the voices they won't stop.

They smile, they laugh, they look happy, they have good grades, nothing seems wrong.

The smile falters when they look away, the laugh is forced, they're broken, the grades are so they won't know that everything is wrong, they're slowing dying.
