Thank you so much for the reads. We reached our target!! A thousand!

It only goes up from here I guess. I typically was thinking these were one of those books that would only get a hundred and everyone would forget about it.

Thank you to all my fans, my silent readers especially my two friends

Hannah Topley and Sabrina Thorpe who have been bugging me to upload xD

Anyway onto the story, special chapter :)

Chapter eleven.

To the wounds that won't heal...

The courtyard he had been talking about was massive. Rows and rows filled with endless chatter and comments that flew across the air faster than anything I had seen before. Lights shone down from the main pack house like a Christmas fair, and the moons were ruby red and next to each other in a kind embrace. The night was not kind.

It was cold and the wind blew gently yet with the dropping temperatures it felt as if it were freezing. My heat had gone down and so my skin was shivering like a normal human. I was glad it helped keep up the facade.

I stood off to the side of the stage that was create for the ceremony. Whilst blade and his Luna, Katherine. Stood upfront and were looking down at everyone, radiating power. and even though she wasn't his real mate, the couple suited each other well. The fact that Katherine seemed to have this light in her eyes that could have blinded anyone who looked at the diamonds too long. She held this rich air, full of power and dreams that only few could actually wish for and receive. Compared to blade who seemed to be surrounded by a threatening aura. Completely doused in it to the point of where the man himself melded with the darkness like a shadow of the past. His permanent scowl was etched onto his face along with his tense muscles which rippled and shuffled along with Katherine's energetic bouncing movements of when she waved to familiar members in the crowd. As if this was nothing. Two polar opposites were perfect for each other. And I couldn't help but sink into the feeling that what I was accepting was the right decision.

"Pack wolves. Elders. Members of the dark knight pack" alpha shadow called from the stage in his strong deep voice. "Today you are here to be witnesses to the ceremony of rejection. To which the bond between myself and miss Corvus will begin its journey in breaking between our inner beings. And by Lycan laws of The sanctum of Edon. She will no longer be considered my mate, Once this ceremony is complete" I felt myself freeze. I had just thought we were doing something for show. But once I had heard what was going to happen I felt myself break out into a sweat. Ronan who was still standing beside me, looked and a flash of panic came across his eyes before he rubbed his hand over mine. Though it did nothing to help.

"Now miss Corvus may you please join me on stage" I pulled Ronan with me as he walked with me on stage, his hands still looped around mine until we were directly in front of alpha shadow, his eyes seemed to glower at the connected hands me and Ronan held. He ignored it after a few moments and I couldn't help but feel a sense of loss when he didn't do anything or show any emotion. The moment of realisation that I had truly never had a chance to have him was striking my heart hard.

"Do you Aurora Corvus accept my rejection and reject the bond between us as well?" I hadn't heard anything he was saying before and I looked into his eyes. His deep golden red rimmed eyes that seemed to draw me into and nodded.

"I Aurora Corvus accept your rejection and reject the bond between us" my body was shaking, as alpha shadow gripped my hand and held it pale to palm in the air.

"Repeat after me" he called.
