*Ryan's P.O.V*Adam and I both hear a small gasp for air followed by a whine. Staring at each other for a moment, eyes locked as if saying 'did you hear that?' There was only three people in the room as of right now, Adam,me, and Luna. We both know that neither of us made that sound so it must have been from her. My moment to register was is happening has past as I then quickly turn around to face Luna. Her eyes yet to open but her mouth was slightly open, small barely audible whimpers escape her lips. She is in pain. I turn to Adam with my eyes full of tears threatening to spill, and ask "May I have a few minutes alone with her please?"
"Of course she is your mate after all."
Just before he left the room, Adam turned to me,
"I'm going to call my father to see when he can meet with both of us to discuss these events and the arrangement of Luna's future, for a lack of better term." I simply nod in agreement. After a moment of silence, he makes his way out of the room. I turn back to Luna as I hear another whimper out of her mouth. Seeing her like this hurts me. So many questions are running through my head. Will she wake up? What do I tell her when she does? How do I explain all the events to her? How will she take it? Will she choose me or Adam? All these questions made my head hurt. I sighed and put my head on the edge of her bed. I take her hand in mine and bring it close to my face.
"No matter what happens I will protect you with my life." I say. I close my eyes, right as I do she makes another whimper. My eyes shot open in hope but I was, yet again, greeted with nothing.I don't know how long I was with her but it must have been hours, when someone knocked on the door. I mumble a small, "Enter." I didn't face the person right away, there was just awkward silence between us, until the person coughed. I looked behind me to find Robin. I was going to make a move but she stopped me before I could.
"You don't have to come if you don't want too, but there is dinner down in the dining hall. If you would like I can have it sent up here." I gave her a small smile.
"No I'll come down. I think it's best if I leave so she can rest and not hear my endless talking." I chuckled, trying to lighten the mood. Robin let out a small giggle, as she walked closer.
"She never did really like people talking to her when she is sick. She was always worried about the other persons health rather than her own." She was right next to me now, so I stood up straight. And she continued to tell stories about her.
"One time she was so sick, she locked herself in her room, not letting anyone or anything come in so they won't get sick. But we figured out a way to get food to her." She smiled at the memory.
"How did you get food to her then?" I ask.
"We used a rope and basket and brought it to her window." We both begun laughing.
"She sounds like a handful." I said once I was done laughing.
"She was a handful. But that handful protects every one in our small little pack. She is our warrior. The kids look up to her because of how much a leader she is." She paused.
"She once told me, if anything was to happen to her she wanted to die protecting the pack. And if she did find her mate, she would want her mate to take over, to forget and keep the pack alive and well. Not to worry about her just let her memory live on." I looked from Luna back to Robin. Robin was sobbing. I went up to her and pulled her into a hug.
"She will be alright. The doctor said she is getting better." She sobbed into my chest.
"She is getting better when you are around. I heard everything. You heal her faster. Thank you for finding her. If you didn't find her she might have been dead." She said through sobs. I rubbed her back in reassurance. She calmed down quickly, then pulled away from the hug. She wiped her eyes, then smiled at me.
"What's with the smile?" I asked.
"I'm just really happy she met you. I have a feeling you will take care of her." I put my hand in her shoulder,
"I will always take care of her, whether she likes it or not." We both look over at Luna, with small smiles on our faces.
"We both will." After a moment of silence, Robin speaks up.
"Let's go downstairs and get some food, sound good?" I looked at her,
"Yeah, I'll come back later. I need to talk to Adam." She nods and makes her way toward the door. I take one last look at Luna, then walk up to her. I kiss her on the forehead and say,
"I'll be back later." I get up and walk out the door and down the to dining area. I met Robin in the hallway just before the dining area,
"She is a strong one, we have nothing to worry about." She told me.
"She seems like a strong one, after seeing her take one more than 5 rouges by herself, I believe that she is a strong girl. My little warrior." We reached the dining area to find only Adam sitting down at the table.
"I would like to discuss the arrangement of Luna made by my father, if you don't mind." He asked very politely. I nodded and make my way to the seat next to him, as well as Robin. She took the other seat next to him.
"Alright let's begin."A/N
