Chapter 1- The Break In

*Luna's P.O.V.*

I fiddle with the lock on the door a few times to get it just right, after the third movement of my bobby pin I hear a satisfying 'click'. I smile widely, and look back at my friend, Robin,who is keeping watch for the guards. I see a panicked look on her face.
"Alright we are in. Now let's get what we came for and leave. We don't need trouble." I told her.
"If you didn't want any trouble then we shouldn't be breaking into the Red Moon's Mansion." She retorted. As we make our way inside, I see that all the lights are off signaling everyone went to bed. I stand up straight and signal for Robin to do the same.

We both got out our small flashlights and turned them on. As we looked around the room, I see that we are in the lounge area. We walk around to find the room we need to be in, as I walk I see many treasures on the shelves. I stop and look at a picture, the picture has four people in it, a older woman, older man, and two young boys. They are all smiling. 'What a happy family.' I thought to myself.
"Hey I found it." I hear Robin say. I put the picture frame back in the spot I found it, then make my way over to her. I get by her side and she points to a door. "It's in there." She whispered. I nod. "Alright let's do this." I place my hand on the door knob and slowly open the door. The door made a small creak, nothing to noticeable. I fully opened the door and smiled. "We made it." I say. We both made our way inside as I hear Robin mumble, "I can't believe we broke into the Red Moon's mansion just to steal food." I make my way over to the fridge, I look through it and found some already made sandwiches. "Dude they have pre-made sandwiches. That's makes this a lot easier. I was ready to make them." I giggle. I stuff the sandwiches in my backpack as Robin starts to hit me. "Dude what?" I ask. She just puts her index finger on her mouth signaling me to be quiet. She then points toward the door.
"Man I can really go for some of those cookies you made right now." We hear someone say. "You want some?" Another person asks. "Hell yeah." The first person replied. Our eyes went wide. We quickly turned off the flashlights and tried to leave, but as soon as we got to the door we were greeted by the two we heard. And turns out they are guards. "What are you two doing." One guard asks. I try to play it off, "We just wanted some midnight snacks. That's all." I smile cutely. "You do know that it is five o clock at night right?" He asks. The other guard looked around, we both got even more scared but keep our cool. "I don't know I'm just really hungry." I tell him. "Hey why is the back door open?" The second guard asks. Me and Robin's eyes went wide. I stuffed the sandwich in my backpack and yelled, "Run!" Me and Robin make a run for the door but I was caught by the guard in front of me and moments later Robin was caught by the other guard.

They both carried us on their shoulders. The guard carrying me asked, "Why did you just steal food? You didn't go for anything else just food." I giggled a bit and replied, "We just wanted some food to feed people in our pack." I told him honestly. "Why is you alpha that bad that he can't even feed your pack?" He asked. I hear Robin wiggle and argue," Our alpha is the best but it's not her fault that we needed up like this. It was those damn rouges. They attacked us and took everything we had including our old alpha and Luna's lives." She said with anger in her voice. I hear the two guards gasp. "I'm sorry for both of you. I am sure it will all work out eventually." The guard came to a stop, "But for right now you two need to see the prince to receive punishment, since you to did break into his mansion." We both sighed. "We understand." He knocks on the door and says, "Your highness, we found two girls who broke into the house and were trying to steal food." And we heard a small response. "Bring them in." He opened the door and put us both down. The man sitting in the chair turned around and faced us. When he did my inner wolf jumped awake. I wasn't sure why right away. They man's eyes went wide, it seems something was wrong with him as well. Or was it that he was surprised at us stealing food?
