Chapter 7- Little Sugar and a lot of spice (PART 1)
I would like to say that after Reece asked me out I calmly walked home, not at all thinking about how my crush since for ever just asked me on a date. Like a normal person I got home and did not under any circumstance lock my self in my room and rock out to call me maybe into my purple sparkly hair brush or do a complete fan-girl scream for about two minutes straight.
But even though I may look like some hot chick I am still geeky Elle Capulet that just got asked on her first date.
My first date. OHMYGAWD!!!! Myfirstdatemyfirstdatemyfirstdatemyfirstdatemyfirstdate
WITH REECE MONTAGUE!
So yeah, I freaked out. A little. Then realized I didn’t know a thing about dating and almost had a heart attack.
“AND I’m LIKE OW! NEVER THOUGHT IT HURT SO BA-“ my ring tone interrupted my breakdown.
“Helllooooo,” I sang into the phone before jumping backwards onto my bed and crossing my legs.
“You’re Welcome, Juliet. I’m impressed.”
“I HAVE A DATE BRIANNA!”
“I know.”
“WITH RE- wait. You know? Oh my god you were not spying on me again were you?”
“No. this guy named jake did it for me”
“Jake Sniffen? As in Reece’s bestie? Do you freaking know everyone?”
“Uh yes. Do you not know who I am?”
I snorted and rolled my eyes. Of course she knew every person in the popular group.
“Also, I’m standing outside your room so you may want to unlock the door.” I heard a muffled echo of Brianna’s words through my bedroom door.
I didn’t even dare ask how she got here or anything. It’s just better not to ask with her. After unlocking the door Brianna procceded to hustle me into the bathroom and practically forced me to strip down in front of her.
“Clothes off.”
“Oh no. You gotta take me out to dinner first if you want me stripping for you. Scratch that. We have to be married.” My eyes widened at Brianna’s words.
“It’s not like you have anything I don’t Sweetcheeks.” She said flirtatiously, giving me a wink before exiting the bathroom. I stripped, threw my clothes in the hamper, then jumped in the shower.
After my shower I was lathered in concealer and mascara and whatever other stuff that was girly and made me into the Perfect Elle and hid the Boring Elle. But as I gazed in the mirror afterwards I had to give it to Brianna. She knew what she was doing.
The smoky-ness of around my eyes brought out the blue. The product on my face made me look like I was blushing just the tiniest bit and brought out my high cheek bones. My lips were covered in a thin layer of pink gloss, making them stand out against my pale face. Honestly I looked like a model.
I lifted a hand up to touch my cheek but it was swatted away.
“Don’t you dare mess up my handy work. It’s hard work to make you look hot,” Brianna sassed.
My jaw dropped and I shot her an offended look. She just rolled her eyes and shoved a midnight blue dress over my head. It went to mid-thigh and had spaghetti straps. The waste was fitted and the bottom was kinda flowy and had a slight shimmer to it when I swayed my hips.
Shoes and jewlrey were added, perfume spritzed here and there and 30 minutes later I was twirling in front of the mirror. I admired myself.
“I look hot,” I breathed.
“Yeah yeah,” Brianna shuttled me to the door, “Don’t let it get to your head.” But one end of her mouth was quirked up in a slight smirk at her handy work.
A beep alerted me to a text.
Romeo (Reece):
Meet me at the Vine in 15 minutes?
Juliet(Me):
Aye aye captain.
Romeo:
LOL see you there.
“You are such a dork” Brianna informed me as she read the texts over my shoulder.
“Whatever,” I muttered.
10 minutes later I’m sitting at a reserved seat on the second story balcony of the Vine. Another 10 minutes and I start to get worried.
15 minutes after that the waiters start to give me pity glances and the same guy who seated me had already asked me twice if I wanted to order.
I really wanted to believe that he would be here. I was so sure that quiet Juliet would finally get Romeo but apparently that wasn’t happening.
I felt the water works slipping to the surface but I refused to ruin Brianna’s creation. I held my head high as I got to my feet. I threw my napkin on the table and walked out, not looking back.
