After the shock wore off and I could control my body and move again I ran outside the coffee shop,found Brittney and paisley and drove home
Blake was too shocked to even stop me or so I thought..
Maybe he didn't want me as a mate but then again I didn't even know if I wanted Him
my mind was racing with different thoughts
At first The girls teased me about how hot Blake was as they saw us sitting together earlier but they left Before they could see what happened
when they saw my face they kept asking me what was wrong and that they were worried but I couldn't bring myself to answer hem I was still panicking
Mates are supposed to be your perfect match and the mate bond simply guided you to the one that could Love you the most and bring the best out of you..they were simply your other half,
It wasn't a fairytale or love at first sight but the mate bond was showing you who the perfect match would be..that's why you couldn't love anyont else after you meet your mate
And if you met your mate befor coming of age you would still fall in love without knowing you were mates
To sum it up it is like true love for humans but more intense but how could the moon goddess pair two sworn enemies as mates
don't get me wrong I mean Blake is perfect..
The way he laughs make shivers run Down my spine and how my name sounds on his tongue..no focus layla he is my enemy!
We made it to the house safely..honestly it's a miracle we didn't crash because I was too deep in thought
"okay look don't say anything to the boys and I will tell you what happened once we go to my room..Deal?" I looked at both of them in the eye wanting confirmation as the muttered deal and okay.
Once we were inside the house
Paisley and Brittney made their way to their mates as I made my way to carter and my Brother a fake smile plastered on my face
Jason gave me a peck on the cheek while carter just nodded
I glanced at the girls and their mate with a sad look and wondered silently "could that ever be me and my mate.."
Carter took notice of the sad look on my face and looked at me trying to understand but I quickly put on a fake smile that I know he didn't buy ..he was my best friend for a reason
He understands me better than anyone
The girls made an excuse to go up to my room and I followed quietly,once we made it to my room and shut the door they made themselves comfortable on my bed while I just stood by the window gazing at the sky
"My mate is from the Blood moon pack" I blurted with a low voice
I turned my head a little to see their reaction.
A gasp was heard from paisley while Brittney just looked at both of us confused "and what's the big deal you could just move in with him or vice versa" realization dawned on me
Brittney was new here and people don't talk about the war anymore so she doesn't know what happened.
Paisley started explaining "the blood moon pack are.." I tuned them out as I gazed out of the window wondering what the moon godesse's wisdom was
"Layla.." I heard my name being called as I refocused "mhmm..sorry what did you say" she gave me a sympathetic look and repeated "did you talk to him about it" what could I possibly talk to him about
I faced the window again
he was the alpha..there was no solution but I don't want to tell them that he was the alpha I don't know why but I just don't "No,I freaked out and ran out of the coffee shop" a warm hand was placed on my shoulder I looked The hand and then the owner..it was paisley "don't worry Lay mates always work out and the moon godess wouldn't have paired you if you wouldn't work together she gave me a reassuring smile "come on Brittney we should get going"
"we are here for you" Brittney said giving me a hug
I was a little shocked because Brittney was quiet the whole time but I returned the hug anyway,Before they left Brittney gave me her phone number and took mine and left..I was truly thankful for them,I don't know what I would've done without them,the thought put a small smile on my face..a real one
and at that moment I had hope..hope that everything would work out in the end.
