“Jason did you pack everything? Make sure you get all the photo albums, your phone and charger.”
Today was the day we were moving out of the pack house to a small house nearby.
We decided that it was time for us to have our own house until we find our mates.
Although my father doesn't care about us, money isn't a problem for him, he gives us as much as we need.
The house was a small two story building with three bedrooms. Overall it was suitable for Jason and I.
"Yes sis! Don't worry I've got everything taken care of." Jason said, bringing me to the present and rolling his eyes at me. "Oh and by the way, Carter is going to meet us at the new house so he could help us unpack and all."
Carter was a very close friend of mine, I met him when we moved into the pack house.
His mother used to take care of Jason and I when we were younger until her and her mate decided to move out of the pack house. But that didn't stop my friendship with Carter. Since Carter and I were always together we became very close friends.
It was just the three of us, Jason, Carter, and I, until our first year of highschool.
We made some friends and we became a group. Paisley and Troy, a happily mated couple, Colton, Jason's best buddy after Carter, and obviously Jason, Carter and I. That's pretty much it.
"Come on Jason I think we should get going."
We said our goodbyes to our pack mates, hopped in the black 2013 Toyota Corolla, and left.
You're probably wondering more about my father, well he doesn't care if we live on the streets like I said. He would give us money but that's it. That just shows how much of a loving father he is (cough, sarcasm, cough).
While I had drowned myself in my thoughts, I didn't noticed we had arrived to our destination. I noticed that Carter's car was already there so we parked beside him and hopped out of the car.
I practically ran to the house, I couldn't contain my excitement! I felt that it was the first step of becoming independent, but at the same time free.
No one to ask where you're going, what you're doing or telling you too keep down your voice, blah blah blah.
Don't get me wrong, living in the pack house has it's perks, but I think we made the right decision by moving out.
The door was open, and I saw Carter looking at the house. Jason must've gave him a key.
"Do you like it?" I asked with a wide grin on my face.
"Yeah it's pretty good Lay." He smiled, using my nickname.
"imagine how useful this could be, we could have parties, sleepovers and a bunch of other stuff!"
"I know right!" I said jumping up and down, failing at containing my excitement.
"I know what we could do! How about we call the gang and we go out to the club in No Man's Land, kind of celebrating the new house and all?”
No Man's Land was a neutral land between all the packs, so all the packs are allowed to go there freely.
"Okay, you go tell Jason and I'll call the gang. How about we all meet here at seven?"
“Fine with me, let's go help Jason unpack.”
We went outside, got all the boxes out of the car and placed them in the living room. Carter said his goodbyes and left to be ready at seven.
"So what are you doing at seven?" Jason asked with a raised eyebrow
"We are going to the club in No Man's Land." I replied, rolling my eyes, "Get ready at seven.”
"Okay, but I want to talk to you about something Layla.”
"What is it?" I plopped on the couch crossed legs as I gazed at him curiously.
"So I wanted us to have an agreement on this house..." He started I motioned for him to keep going. "Even if we find our mates and move out of this house I don't want to sell it. I want to keep it incase anything happens. The contract has your name and mine it, means that this house is yours as much as it is mine and I want to keep it even if we move out. What do you think?"
"I like the idea… okay, I agree." I said with a smile.
"Good now that we got that covered, let's go unpack."
I hopped off the couch and ran upstairs, "I am getting the bigger bedroom." I yelled.
I heard him chuckle and mutter, "You'll never grow up sis." Ignoring him, I got my things and started unpacking the boxes.
"Here we go."
