Chapter 14

Growling and barking playfully at Blake's large wolf as he pounsed on me and nipped at my fur lightly, I was surprised when I heard his voice in my head

"I told you it would be a good idea to let our wolves get used to each other"

Blake decided that it would be nice to spend some time in our wolf's form as we could feel them becoming restless of not seeing each other and he was right, it was really fun and nice to realx and let the wolf take charge, so we headed to the forest far away from the road and the shops.

"How can we mindlink each other.. we are not from the same pack"

only members of the same pack could communicate with each other via mindlink

"It's beacause we are mates but we can only mindlink when we're in wolf form, once we complete the mating process we would be able to mindlink in human form too"

And went back to nipping at my fur.

He was a beautiful Chocolate brown Alpha male Wolf with a large white patch of white fur just above his tummy, he was beautifully breathtaking
While I was an all Gold female Alpha wolf a bit smaller than him.

Alpha's pups are always larger than normal wolfs but normally males are larger than females giving them the advantage of strength whilst females have the advantage of speed and easily dodging or escaping because of their smaller size.

Picking up my cloths with my jaw from where I left them behind a tree, I started transforming into my human form and quickly put them on,
I emerged from behind the tree to see Blake coming from behind a nearby tree.

We both made our selves comfortable or the dirty ground, our backs resting on the large tree

"Blake.." I started hesitantly,
His beautiful emerald eyes snapped to mine at the sound of my voice..he was waiting for me to say what I had to say and I looked away from his dreamy eyes afraid of getting lost in them
"..How did you handle your mother's death" I struggled with the words pausing slightly befor every word and hesitating if I should bring this up but I was really curious of what his life has become like after her death
Because honestly so many questions were ready to pop out of my mouth at any minute but I decided to go with the simplest one.
He looked surprised with the question for a second but quickly composed himself and answered almost cautiosly
"It was hard.." he was paused a little lookin in the distance as if he was remembering what it was like..

"...and at first I was devestated I mean I was only a kid then but my father helped a lot of course he distanced himself a little at first but it was normal I guess, he was mourning his lost mate but he soon picked up the pieces and decided to be a better dad and when I became eighteen, he gave ne the alpha position and that's pretty much it.."

I was a little jealous of him, I mean his father was there for him to support him and fill the gap of his mother's death while my father won't even hand down the aloha title to jason but I soon dismissed the thought and scolded myself for the selfish thinking
I should be happy that my mate didn't suffer the way I did..
I was pulled out of my thoughts when he started talking again

"What about you..how did you overcome your mother's death"
I didn't.. a voice at the back of my head whispered and it was true...I didn't fully get over her death and think I ever will unlike Blake I had no one to fill that hole that my mother left of course I had Jason and I'm honestly grateful...but it wasn't enough, it wasn't the same
But I just kept my thoughts to myself abd replied as honestly as I could "I had Jason My twin brother he was the one that helped me through it..we helped each other...that's why we are so close honestly, I wouldn't trade him for the world"

A comfortable silence surrounded us as no one spoke again but an idea popped into my mind suddenly
"I never asked you but how old are you.." I asked looking at him curiously
"I'm twenty-three" he simply replied, I was waiting for him to ask ne back but when he didn't I was curious to know why "aren't you going to ask me back" I asked looking at him weirdly but he only smirked abd shook his head a little making him look so sexy "I already know that you're twenty and that you work at the day care of your pack and that you live alone with your brother. ." He trailed off still smirking that sexy smirk of his, but me..I was sure my jaw already hit the ground "what..how.." i stuttered too surprised to speak
"How did you know all this" I asked wide eyed but he only leaned closer to my ears making me alnost moan whith his breath tickling the side of my face and whispered

"A magician never reveals his secret" and crashed his lips to mine making the mian that I was holding back to come out.
