As a teenager I never had any interest in boys..of course I had a crush or two but never a serious relationship
Even when someone would show interest in me,I would freind zone them
I always knew my mate was out there
I knew mates were not perfect
And losing them could affect wolfs greatly, my father was an example ..
But I wanted a relationship like the one my parents had befor.
I wanted someone who would care for me like no other, who will be Perfection for me.
Looking into my mate's eyes right now, I knew that it was worth waiting that he was worth waiting.
Walking towards him and sitting slowly not losing eye contact and not saying anything.
We were both silent for a few seconds just staring at each other when we heard a cough
My eyes snapped to my right where a young lady in her early twenties stood awkwardly , wearing an apron and clutching a small notepad and a pen in her hands
"Welcome to our coffee shop , what can I get you"
We both ordered coffee and the waitress wrote down our order and left.
Few seconds of silence were shared befor Blake cleared his throat , my attention was on him
"Look , I know that what I'm about to suggest is not at all easy but I really can't do this"
A mix of doubt , fear , confusion and anger passed through me
What is he saying. ..surly he didn't ask me to come here in the middle of the night to reject me
Despite the raging war I was having in my head I managed to keep a blank facade..a thing that I mastered growing up and being an alpha's child.
My eyes still on Blake , i watched him taking a deep breath preparing for what he was about to say next
"I want to try this..in secret I mean , we could make this work without our packs knowing , we could meet here at night and in the mornings we could chat and call each other"
I looked at him in surprise
Well..that was not what I was expecting
He must've taken my silence for rejection or doubt because he hurriedly continued
"Of course this is just a temporary thing until we find a way to be together , so what do you say"
He was looking at me with a look an Alpha never shows anyone except for his mate
This look of pleading would be looked at as weakness if anyone saw him but for Mates this was the ultimate strength. .he was opening up to me letting me see his need for me and his true feelings and I knew that I would try anything to make this work
"Blake , I want this to work and I'm willing to try this but we will have to be careful , okay?
If my father found out about this ..you know what's going to happen" the warning in my voice was to make sure he really thought about this, thought about the risks and the odds but he just smiled and assured me that everything will be alright
I know we will have a lot of problems and struggles in this relationship
But I really believe that the Moon goddess has it all planned for our coming journey.
