Prologue.
"Promise we'll be friends forever?" I stared wide-eyed at my best friend who was about to board a plane and fly off to live his dream.
"I promise." he replied, pulling me into a gentle hug.
"Come on Liam!" a voice in the distance called.
"Alright, I'm coming!" he yelled back, turning around and giving his full attention to me once again. The excitement shone through his chocolate brown eyes.
"I've got to go, I'll see you soon yeah?" he said, giving me one last hug before turning and running up the steps of the plane. I stood there with his family, my vision blurred due to the tears forming in my eyes, as we watched the plane take off. That was it. He was actually gone.
That was the last time I ever spoke to my best friend, who currently is a superstar in the worlds biggest boy-band - One Direction.

Authors Note - It may start as a sad story, but I assure you it will get better and become more romatic. As the title says... *hint hint* ;)
