I slowly shut the door, a wide smile still remained on my face.

Today was amazing.

I arrived at school, actually dreading to run into those boys again today. I had only just started here and I already had become an outcast.

Sitting down next to my only friend in music technology, I turned my head to face the teacher.

"Right class." he began. "I'm going to give you all a small assignment."

The class groaned.

"It is to be done in pairs, you are to compose a song. There has to be at least one instrument being played and one singer. You have three weeks!" he explained. Most of the pupils in the class were already making eye contact with their partner.

I turned my head to face Liam and saw he was already looking at me.

"Want to be my partner?" he mouthed so that the teacher wouldn't catch us talking.

"Sure." I smiled back.

Now I would get to spend even more time with Liam, and maybe I'd get to see what his bedroom looks like and maybe he walks around shirtless in his house... omg. I mentally slapped myself for even thinking those things. The boy probably isn't even interested in me!

The familiar sound of the bell rang. Seeing as I had no more lessons today, after waving a quick goodbye to Liam, I dropped off the books in my locker and began making my way out of the school building.

The school soon grew quiet as probably most of the students had reached their next class. I was just about to exit the school gate when a strong hand grabbed the back of my jumper and pulled me back so I hit the wall with full force.

"Leaving so soon?" the buff figure from yesterday mocked. Fear struck through me. He wasn't really going to beat up a girl was he?

Seriously what is up with the teachers in this school?

He began raising his hand, my eyes immediately closing. I felt him tuck a lose strand of hair behind my ear. I relaxed.

"Now don't get too comfy." he laughed. "I'm only waiting on some friends. What fun is beating up someone alone?" he grinned.

I had to get out of here. As if on cue, the familiar massive group of boys began walking out into the playground. He turned around to greet them.

Now was my chance.

I ran at full speed out of the gate and began zigzagging in and out of trees in the park. My jogging session had come in handy after all. Although it didn't last long. I was joined by several pairs of footsteps which were treading behind me heavily.

They kept getting louder and louder and no matter how fast I tried to run it was no use.

I firm hand took hold of my waist and pushed me down so that I hit the floor with a thud.

The park was empty as it was still morning hours and people would probably be at work.

"Why did you try and run away? I think we are going to have to punish you even harder.." an evil grin formed on his face. My body was frozen, I didn't even know how to react.

He was soon joined my the rest of the group, they all exchanged glares whilst smirking at each other.

A blond one lifted me up, holding me by my neck against the tree. It was very difficult to breathe. He held out his hand which soon turned into a fist and swung heavily for my stomach. I couldn't breathe at this point, but it didn't seem to bother them.

The blond one kept me held there whilst they all took turns throwing punches and laughing. The bark which was sticking out from the tree was digging its way into my back with each punch. I was gasping for air and the world was starting to spin. The tiny coloured dots flew around me as less and less air made its way into my lungs.

They soon released me from my position on the tree but it was no use. I could barely stand. Crumbling to the ground I felt a final punch on my face, and that was when the drowsiness consumed me.

Part of me was actually grateful for passing out. I no longer felt any pain. I was safe.

"Amy..." a faint voice mumbled.

"Amy..." it went again, slightly louder this time.

"Amy, its alright open your eyes." it comforted, my body finally allowing me to react.

I groaned as all the pain flooded in along with the consciousness. Slowly peeling open my eyes I came face to face with my best friend. Although he wasn't the only one there. I was joined by the rest of his family - his parents and two sisters - who all looked concerned.

"Who did this to you?" Liam asked, pure worry showing through his facial expressions.

"T-the same ones, who did it to you." I managed to mumble, shock ran through his face but it soon turned apologetic.

"Lets try and sit you up." his mum said.

Liam placed a firm hand on my back, whilst he held my hand with the other. He slowly helped me lift myself when pain shot through my body. A moan escaped my lips as I clutched my chest in pain. He quickly let me lie back down whilst his mum called the hospital.

The blaring sound of the ambulance's siren sounded signalling that we were on the way to the hospital, although I was constantly falling asleep, I still managed to see that Liam and his mum were in the ambulance with me.

The only decent part out of this was that my mum worked as a nurse in the hospital, so hopefully I would at least have her there looking after me.

I was soon appointed to a bed as I lay there in wait for a doctor. In walked my mum with a very worried expression on her face, followed by a middle aged woman who was probably my doctor.

She soon examined my body finding that I had a broken rib and a couple of splinters in my back due to the bark. Some of the miner injuries were of course the bruising and the black eye I was given before I passed out.

I soon fell asleep again, it was honestly so frustrating that I couldn't keep myself awake. Although one of the few moments I remember was when I felt someone take hold of my hand. It felt warm and oddly nice, it was a gentle hold, the person was being extremely careful to not put too much pressure on my hand. The last thing I remember was hearing a faint "I love you Amy." before I was fully unconscious.
