I felt someone take hold of my hand. It felt warm and oddly nice, it was a gentle hold, the person was being extremely careful to not put any pressure on my hand. The last thing I remember was hearing a faint "I love you Amy." before I was fully unconscious.

A couple of weeks had passed since the whole incident. I had been staying at home most of the time and Liam would occasionally drop by to give me the work I'd missed.

We had also been working on our music assignment which was due in very soon.

I was snapped out of my thoughts by the ringing of the doorbell downstairs. Carefully getting out of bed and walking down the stairs I was greeted by my best friend Liam.

A warm smile spread across his face as he pulled me in into a tight hug.

"Liam, I can't breathe..... LIAM." he released me immediately.

"Oops... I keep forgetting you're still delicate." he laughed. I couldn't help but giggle.

"Come on in." I said, moving aside to give him room to enter.

We walked upstairs and into my bedroom, where he set down the big pile of books containing all the work I had missed that day... Oh the joy.

"Shall we work on our music project then?" I asked.

"Sure." he said, as I got up and headed over to the piano.

Seeing as I had no singing talent whatsoever - I sounded like a dying cat - I decided to leave the singing to Liam and I'd handle the piano.

I began playing the keys to our newly made up song as I looked up and watched Liam as he began to sing.

He always put on this little pout when he sang, which made his chocolate brown eyes look even bigger than they were making him appear even cuter than he already was. If that was possible.

We finally came to the closing note of the song, I could feel Liam's eyes on me as I held it to make the ending sound nicer. My eyes soon met his.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" I giggled.

He blushed. "What?... I... Um..."

I burst out it laughter, he soon joined in.

"No seriously Liam, do I have something on my face?" I asked raising a hand to feel around my mouth.

"No, you're face is perfect... Um... I mean... No, you have nothing on your face." he grew even redder than before, he had to look down to hide the embarrassment.

My heart was melting inside. That was the cutest thing anyone had said to me. I slowly walked over to him and pulled him into a small hug. Resting my chin on his shoulder as it was perfect height for me, I felt his body relax soon returning the hug.

"Did you really mean that?... You know, the whole perfect face thing?" I mumbled.

"Yes." he whispered. His voice was sincere, like he meant every word.

He slowly pulled away, taking each of my hands in his own and looked at me straight in the eyes.

"Amy, I've loved you from the moment I saw you.." he began. "and I know this sounds really cheesy, and you probably thing I'm pathetic seeing as you already got beat up on your second day of school because of me, but I was wondering... maybe we could try being more than friends?... You know, as in boyfriend and girlfriend?" he asked, his eyebrows raising with worry.

"Of course Liam." that was all I was able to say. I honestly felt the same way about him, and he was the only real friend I had here.

I pulled him back into a tight hug, my hands immediately finding their way into his hair as I toyed with a few strands. I felt him place a soft kiss on my cheek as we remained there, just holding each other for another ten minutes.
