The loud buzzing of my alarm clock erupted throughout my room, waking me from a peaceful sleep. I realised that I was not in London anymore, the nerves automatically hitting me, reminding me how today was my first day of school.

Swinging my legs off the side of my bed, I rested my head in my hands allowing myself time to adjust. I slowly got up, dragging my legs along the cold wood floor. Throwing my pyjamas off over my head I turned on the knob which let the hot steamy water flow out.

I slowly entered the steam, quickly jolting awake as the hot water scalded my back.

I remained in the shower for a good fifteen minutes before climbing out and putting on my new school uniform.

Grabbing my book-bag, I ran downstairs. My mum wasn't up yet, and seeing as she was exhausted over yesterday, I didn't want to wake her.

Deciding on an apple, I quickly washed it before heading outside. Seeing as I lived fairly near to the school, walking was the best option. I plugged in my iPod and began walking down the street, anything to distract me from the butterflies which seemed to be dancing around in my stomach.

I soon approached the school gates, I'd honestly never been so nervous in my life. Checking my watch I saw I arrived with plenty of time to spare. I walked through the school slowly so I could take the new atmosphere in.

I soon came across a wooden door with the sign 'reception' on it. It was already open and there was a woman inside busy typing away at her computer. She soon stopped as she noticed me standing there.

"Ahh you must be Amy right?" she asked, as she raised her glasses to examine me. She looked to be in her early fifties.

"Yes." I nodded, feeling slightly awkward.

"Well welcome to the City of Wolverhampton College!" she smiled. "Here is your class timetable, along with a map of the school to help get you started. Your locker is number 124. Oh and Don't worry your class mates only started two months ago, so they still might be just as lost as you are."  she laughed.

I thanked her and quickly headed over to check out my locker. Opening it, I found that they had already given me my textbooks for each class. Perfect.

I pulled out my timetable to check what I had first. Music Technology. I just hoped that I had a good teacher.

I walked into the class, the teacher was already present but had not started giving the lesson yet. I walked over to his desk to introduce myself.

"Alright class." he called, getting the attention of all the pupils in the room. Oh no, he wouldn't.

"We have a new student, her name is Amy. I want you all to make her feel as welcome as possible." There was about thirty pairs of eyes on me, all I could do was smile at everyone awkwardly.

I made my way to the back of the class, finding the only empty chair left.

"Hey." I heard a familiar voice whisper from beside me. I turned my attention to the source of the voice, I felt my heart melt when I saw who it was... Liam.

"Hi." I replied, the goofiest grin possible forming on my lips. Mentally slapping myself for looking at him like that I quickly brought up a conversation. "At least I now know someone in this class." I laughed.

He grinned. "I'm sure it wont take long for a girl like you to fit in." he said.

"What do you mean, a girl like me?" I asked, wanting to see what he thought of me.

"Alright class!" the teacher called, trying to get our attention. I immediately turned my head to face the whiteboard, not wanting to create a bad impression on my first lesson.
