"Detention, both of you. Now." she yelled.

Perfect. My first day of school and I already had detention...

The school day at last came to an end. Dragging my feet along the deserted corridors, I made my way into the classroom where detention was being held.

I tried to hold back the smirk that was forming on my lips as my eyes met Liam's.

Taking the desk next to Liam, I sat down and waited.

Detention basically was a teacher texting and sitting on the desk whislt Liam and I stared into space for an hour. The incessant ticking of the clock which hung above the whiteboard was doing my last nerve in. Honestly time couldn't possibly go by any slower.

At last we were dismissed. We both grabbed our bags and made our way out through the empty corridors and the school building as quickly as possible. School was long enough already, we didn't want to spend any extra time in there.

"Did you tell someone?" I began as we made our way home. "You know, about the bullying?" Glancing at Liam I saw his expression grow sad. I knew this was an uncomfortable topic for him, but if I were to help him I had to know.

"No." he answered.

"Well, why don't you?"

"Because, I've tried before and.." he paused. "They came for me outside school..." his expression looking even more grim as he looked down at the floor, trying to hide his emotions.

I pulled him into a tight hug, my hands playing with the ends of his hair as he rested his head on my shoulder. I honestly don't know why they bullied him. A boy like Liam didn't deserve this.

We finally arrived outside our houses, it was good since Liam practically lived next door to me. We said our goodbyes, each making our way into our houses.

Liam's Point Of View.

I walked into the house only to find my two sisters - Nicola and Ruth - grinning widely at me. Something was up.

"What?" I asked them, desperate to have my alone time.

"New girlfriend?" Nicola asked, wiggling her eye-brows at me. Ruth only giggled.

"No..." I replied. I wish... No. Stop it Liam.

"Aww, I think you two look really cute together!" Ruth teased. I tried my best to hold back the grin that was making its way onto my face.

I treaded heavily up the stairs and dropped my bag in my room. Opening my window, I couldn't help but catch a glimpse of Amy in her room. She looked beautiful.

Her gorgeous brown curls had been let lose from the ponytail she had on earlier, she had a huge smile on her face and appeared to be talking to someone on the phone.

Her eyes soon met mine, her two dimples appearing on either side of her smile as she gave a small wave before sitting down on her bed and continuing her conversation on the phone.

It was 5.p.m, and seeing that I had nothing better to do I decided to go for a jog through the park. I grabbed my water bottle and waved a quick goodbye to my mum as I made my way out of the house.

Following my usual route, I soon came to rest underneath a big tree. After sitting there for a good eight minutes I saw a familiar figure jog passed me.

"Amy?!" I called out. The figure stopped jogging and looked around trying to find me. Her eyes soon met up with mine as a huge grin spread across her face. Gosh I loved her smile.

"Okay, now you're seriously stalking me." she giggled as she took a seat next to me.

"Hey, I was here first! I think you're the one stalking me!" I replied sending another one of her cute giggles spilling from her mouth.

"Tired of jogging already?" she teased, lightly hitting me on the arm.

"No." I smirked, sticking my tongue out at her. "But I want to show you something."

Amy's Point Of View.

I couldn't help but swoon over how adorable Liam was. I usually never spoke to guys, so this was actually very different for me. It was nice.

He pointed to a branch further up in the tree. It sucked how I had practically no coordination whatsoever. Luckily I had Liam to help me up most of the way. The boy was definitely a lot stronger than he looked.

We sat on one of the highest branches of the tree as we gazed out into the horizon. I was a little conscious of how high we were. (I worry over everything way too much..) Liam quickly noticed this.

"Its okay." he comforted, placing a supportive arm around my shoulders. "I wont let you fall, I promise."  he quietly said as he gazed into my eyes. Did I mention how amazing he was?

I rested my head on his shoulder as I leaned against him. We remained there for what felt like a good thirty minutes. We didn't talk much, but we didn't feel the need to. The silence spoke for us, if that makes sense. We just held each other as we watched the sunset. The colours of pink, red and yellow were painted over the sky as the sun vanished behind the distant trees. The sky soon grew dark and it was a lot colder.

Carefully climbing down the tree, we slowly made our way back home hand in hand, past the dull street lamps which lit our way. We were soon approaching our houses as he took my other hand in his so he was now face to face with me. A gentle smile spread across his lips as his brown eyes took in my green ones.

"Thank you for today Liam." I whispered, not wanting to ruin the calm atmosphere the evening provided.

"What for getting you in trouble at school?" he laughed.

"No." I giggled. "For being an amazing friend, honestly I couldn't ask for anyone better." I smiled.

He blushed. "I feel the exact same way about you. You're the only friend I have around here, so thank you." he nodded, looking down out of shyness.

I pulled him into a tight hug before he placed a soft kiss on my cheek. I could feel his soft, warm, plump lips on my cheek. His hands were wrapped around my lower back for support. The light smell of his cologne only made him even more alluring. His body warmth made the hug even more comforting, especially on a rather cold night like this one, although I hadn't taken much notice because of him.

"I'll see you later, Amy." he smiled.

I waved at him as I walked up the pathway up to my front door, pausing for a moment to allow what had just happened to sink in.

I slowly shut the door, a wide smile still remained on my face.

Today was amazing.
