[A/N] Ok so if I get at least five votes or comments or if combined I get five I'll upload quicker. This used to be the first chapter but people would read it and be like wow if the whole book is like that NO THANK YOU! So I decided to give a description of the book for the first chapter instead.
~ A, B, C's...~
I picked up a yellow marker and started to colour in the body of my fuzzy unicorn picture, being careful to make it look nice. I scratched my itchy head making some of my strawberry blond locks come out of my pony-tail. As I was about to pick up a brown marker my sister interrupted saying, “Amy lets go over the alphabet one more time.”
I frowned and shook my head, “No, Kaitlin I’ve already done it a bunch of times.”
Kaitlin returned my frown, “Mom! Dad! Amy won’t let me teach her the alphabet” she complained loudly.
“I already know the alphabet” I stated grumpily, “Are we there yet?” I asked with a little hope.
“Not yet” my mom replied.
Meanwhile Kaitlin was poking me seeming very persistent, she really wanted me to recite the alphabet, “Fine: E, Q, Z, P, F, A,” I told her.
Again she complained but our parents just chuckled. “Ok, ok: A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, and Z. Now will you stop bothering me?” I groaned.
“You need to say it faster,” she told me haughtily.
“Katie I’m only four, I’m allowed to go slow, you can go fast ‘cause your seven,” I complained.
For the next hour I worked on my drawing while Kaitlin brooded on the other side of the bench seat. When my dad announced that we had arrived, I quickly put my picture down. I pressed my eager face to the window and took in the huge parking lot, I started bouncing on my seat I was so excited. My mom helped me get out of our van and gave me a pink ball cap to put on which I did in a hurry. We rushed through the gates but slowed to look at a garden filled with beautiful white flowers, that when put together looked like a giant mouse head. There were almost no other people around. I felt a hand on my shoulder as my mother turned me around and whispered, “Look.”
I did and saw what she meant, it was Mickey Mouse! When Mickey caught sight of me he got down on his knees, and opened his arms wide for a hug. I hesitated, but when my mom gave me a little push, I quickly walked forward and into Mickey’s arms. I thought to myself that this vacation in Disneyland was going to be great, and boy was I right!
