Iris’ Pov:
I hear voices outside the door; I keep screaming not knowing what else to do, because I still felt like the walls were closing in on me, but once the door flew open I ducked under the table and I grabbed whatever that was close by to protect me. There was a girl with blonde short hair with fire in her hands standing in the door way, and next to her was a boy, blonde too, staring in awe at whatever the girl had just done.
They begin to come into the room and I begin to freak out. “WHO ARE YOU?” I scream at them holding, what was a shovel up to hit them with. “PLEASE DON’T HURT ME!” I scream before they could answer and I collapsed on to the floor and began to cry. The girl came over to me and sat down in front of me, and the boy crouched down next to us both.
“I'm Phoenix, and this is Layton.” The girl says as I continue to cry. She pulls me into her lap and asked if I was okay. I just shook my head, not knowing how to explain. “Mind telling us why you’re in here?”
I try to pick myself up after falling apart right in front of these two people right now to explain why I'm here. I sigh and begin to talk, “Well...its kind of confusing.” I start and they nod. “I fell down a hole looking for someplace to go and found myself down here. I didn’t know where else to go, so they took me in for some tests to see if I was going to have powers, but they couldn’t tell, so they locked me up...” I finish.
They nod and Phoenix hugs me tightly, she looks down at my hand 29 on it, hers had the same number, same with the boy. But mine was different from both of theirs...Phoenix had red flames coming off hers and Layton had blue streams coming off his. Mine, had...well...faint colours, but they were different colours too, but you could barely see them. I could tell that Phoenix was a fire element and Layton was water, but.... I was... well... nothing. Seeing as that their down here, that means I fell into the elemental base, which means that I'm probably get killed sooner or later because they will think that I'm under cover.
Layton looked down at me and asked, “Mind telling us why you were screaming?”
“I'm Claustrophobic, and it felt like the walls were closing in on me and I kept having panic attacks.” I frown and look at the ground.
They both look at each other with worried looks and then help me up. “Your safe now” said Layton, “We will protect you.” I smile at him and hug him.
“Thank you so much.” I smile; they guide me out of the room and bring me back to the room they were staying in. Layton goes to get me some food because I haven’t eaten in a couple days and am pretty faint. Phoenix stays with me, she asks me questions about my family, how they died, and if they had any powers like Phoenix and Layton have. But I wasn’t so sure if I they did or not, but I told her my story, how I got there and what happened to my family.
Layton came back and sat down on the bed next to me and handed me a piece of bread and some orange juice. I thanked him and smiled politely.
Phoenix and Layton both told me their stories, how they got here, what kind of powers they have, even if it was kind of noticeable, Phoenix was fire and Layton was Water, but I was nothing.
Anyway, they left me alone to get some sleep, because even though I was kept in that room for a couple days, I couldn’t sleep because I was too worried that the walls were going to close in and kill me. So I laid my head on the pillow, I was sleeping on Layton’s bed, but he didn’t mind, it was the first bed I sat down on so I just went with that one. I pulled the blankets over my cold body and closed my eyes and fall into a wonderful sleep.
I wake up outside, the trees are fresh and beautiful, some full with apples and some with big green leafs all around. I look up at the sky and see no clouds. Then I heard a voice calling to me. The voice said...
“I love you, and never forget about me Iris. You will be okay, your father and I believe in you, and once you set yourself to do something, don’t stop until you have done that.”
I stood up to look around for where the voice came from, but then another voice started to start to talk, “I will miss you Iris, but we are always here for you, above you and in your heart. Don’t forget about us. But you have to find the antidote for this, not just for you, for all of the people that are still alive still. Your mother and I are very proud of you, and we will always love you.”
Once that voice stopped talking, I heard a voice that sounded like it was coming from a little boy, really high but still boyish. “You can do it Iris, I love you, and you tried your best to keep us alive, but what you have to do now is focus on you, and staying alive. Find the antidote, I know you Sis, you can do it. I love you.”
I wake up again from my strange dream with a new goal and feeling fresh and ready to beat this virus. Layton and Phoenix come back into the room with smiles on their faces, but worry in their eyes. I sense that they are worried so I ask what’s wrong.
“It is not safe here, for you I mean.” Phoenix says frowning and looking around the room.
“They will start to look for you, and we can’t stay here forever to protect you from them, so we have to come up with a plan to get us out of here and to a different spot.” Layton explains and sits down next to me.
“Well what are we going to do then...?” I question looking at Layton and then to Phoenix. They stare at each other. But right then, as they both look to me, someone walks into the room.
