All the things I should have done before

Chapter four: the doctor dances

We talk for a bit. Just talk. It's quite nice actually. My mind has been all over the place like the stars. But now it feels like all those stars are aligned.

After a while we run out of things to talk about. Now we just look into each other's eyes. I can see all of him. But all his different selves seem like one person now. It's wonderful.

The TARDIS starts to play music. I think I'm starting to grow on it. It starts to play Everything has changed by Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran. I think it chose an appropriate song for the moment. After about 10 seconds into the song, the Doctor stands up and puts one hand out.
"May I have this dance Clara Oswald?"
"Of course you may." I grab his hand and stand up. His hands are on my hips and mine are on his shoulders. He has that soft smile on again.
"Doctor? How are you such a great dancer?" I say with a bit of a giggle. He smiles back and says " Oh I've done this once or twice before." He spins me around and then into a dip.
"Yeah?" I say "with who?" He swings me up again. His smile turns into a slight a frown and he sighs.
"Rose" he replies his voice is not as happy as before. There's a long pause before I decide to respond. "Who's Rose" I say.
"Oh. No one." He says. But it doesn't sound like no one. I know him better than that.
"Doesn't sound like no one?" I say with a bit of suspicion in my voice but a smirk on my face. He spins me again and goes into a dip. He pauses dancing for a minute. " Doctor?" I say with a pause in between my words. "This isn't just anyone is it?" He swings me up so we're in our original position. He looks at the ground and looks back up "No." His voice has changed and the song is over. "She was more than just anyone. Much more." A tear drips down his face. I wipe it away and smile in a sympathetic way. "We don't have to talk about it. Let's just dance." He smiles a bit and wipes another tear away. "Yeah." He says.
