PREVIOUSLY:
"That's... Interesting." Luke says.
"Yeah, I guess. So tell me about yourself, I don't know much about you." I try to change the subject off of me.
"Well, there's not much to tell. I'm Lucas Robert Hemmings. I'm 18 years old* and I like penguins. That's basically it."
"That can't be it- Oh, we're here!"
"Yay! Ok, where's the clue?"
I make a mental note though, to ask Luke for deeper facts on his life.

Mia's POV:
We've been in Central Park for about an hour now... Luke is not making it any easier to find the clue and is leaving all the work to me. He's been running around and talking to people for the last about 58 minutes. The first two minutes were the most productive ones.
"Luke... Hey, Luke, look, some adoring fans want your autograph right by me!" I said when he didn't reply at first.
Immediately Luke runs over, asking me where the fans were. "They're non-existent, Luke. We kind of need to find this clue, I'm getting cold."
I turn around to start looking and walk a few steps, expecting Luke to follow me. Instead, he stands there. I sigh and think to myself, "are all celebrities like this?"
As soon as I've given up on Luke, there he is next to me. He has taken off his jacket and was in the middle of placing it over my shoulders when I asked "What are you doing?" That type of thing only happened in the movies.
"I, um, I was giving you my, um, jacket... Because you said, you, um, you said you were cold." All of a sudden, Luke turned into shy Luke.
"I... I mean, yeah, I'm cold, but if you give me your jacket won't... um, won't you be cold?" My logic is amazing.
"Well yeah but this is what all the guys in movies do so..." Luke says, and my inner feminist jumps out of me.
"Do you want me to go all Rosie the Riveter on you?"
"Who even is that?" Luke asks. I just look at him.
"Just take the freaking jacket, Mia."
I smile at him gratefully and take his leather jacket.
"Okay. So this is Ash and Grace, they're not too smart... they probably left the clue in a tree somewhere." Luke says, going towards the nearest tree and climbing up it.
I snort, then realize what he's doing. "Crap, Luke. Be careful!"
"Chill, I do this a lot." Luke yells down.
"Found it! Of course, it's at the closest tree to the entrance. They put a lot of thought into these."
"Yeah yeah, what does it say??"
"' I'm almost a perfect circle, and I dance on pretty feet'" Luke reads
"I know where this is! It's the ballerina statue surrounded by water in the second quadrant of the palace."
Luke looks at me. "How many quadrants are in that palace?"
"Only four."
"Only?" Luke seems astounded. It's honestly not that much, normally there's around seven but father wanted to downsize.
He shakes his head and turns around.
"Luke?"
He starts to walk in the direction we came.
"Luke, where are you going? What's going on???"
I begun to run after him when he doesn't turn around.
"Luke, stop walking away from me," I command. "What's wr- Luke, are you crying?"
"No, what makes you say that?" He says, not looking at me.
"Oh, just the tears coming out of your eyes."
"It's because of the, um, the dust. My eyes water easily."
"Luke, what's wrong."
"Nothing, I'm fine,"
"I'm not an idiot. Talk to me,"
"I am talking,"
"Luke. I know you probably think that I, like, hate you, but I don't. We're friends, and being friends means caring for each other. Tell me what's wrong."
Luke looks at me and finally I can see that his bright blue eyes are filled with tears.
"Okay, fine. It's just that, you have so much in life and I have nothing. Sure, I have a band and three amazing friends, but you have a giant house, two parents and like ten million best friends. You're basically besties with the first lady. I know this is a dumb reason to cry, but..."
I stand there in silence, taking in this side of Luke. I'm not sure what to say, so I pull him in for a hug.
My head fits perfectly under his chin, and we stay like that for a few minutes before he pulls away, wiping his tears. I instantly miss the warmth of his arms around me.
I look at the ground because the whole situation is getting very awkward. His hands are still on my shoulders and mine are on his waist.
"If there was music, I'd dance with you," Luke says quietly.
He pulls me in for another hug and I secretly pull out my phone behind his back and pull up Spotify. I play a slow song, turn the volume up, and throw my phone onto the grass.
He pulls back, smiling, and we begin to dance.
"I like you when you're like this," I tell him after the first song is over.
"I like you all the time." Luke says.
"No you don't."
Luke looks at me for a fraction of a second before shaking his head and looking at the sky.
"You're right." He states, "Let's get to that fountain,"
I ruined it, great.
