Half an hour later she was sitting in the same sofa from the night before, this time with a plastic plate full of what seemed smashed potatoes on her lap.

In front of her the slim figure of Flint stood near the window looking at her as she boringly watched her plate.

"You should eat something," he walked closer and motioned his hand to the untouched food.

"I'm not hungry," she pushed the plastic plate away and lay back her head. She took a deep breath and for a slight second she felt the burning pain inside of her again.

From the distance she heard the footsteps of Dyron and Alec. They were talking on Dyron's bedroom, where she had laid awake before.

After the strange event she was directly send to what they call The Cura. A small man checked her and told her she should rest for a few days, though he did not found anything out of the ordinary.

Flint later told her that when Dyron found her Talev disappeared without a trace. Alec sent men after him but none had found anything that indicated where he had gone.

After several minutes of more desperate waiting and quietness the front door opened, revealing Aundrea.

Her hair was braided and lay loosely at her side. Her long and thin legs were covered by a black, old jeans. Her shoulders were exposed, wearing a gray t-shirt.

"Hey," she smiled, nearing towards them, "You okay?" she asked, now standing if front of her, at Flint's side, with her arms crossed.

"Yeah," Casey tried to smile but fail at the attempt. She felt so uneasy and desperate that she couldn't even hold a smile.

"Wanna take a walk?"

"Please," Casey immediately stood up from the couch she was so tired of.

"Flint, tell them we'll be back soon," Aundrea opened the door and left the room.

They were outside the building, walking over the cracked asphalt. The sky was clear, as it usually was on summer. There was no wind so the hotness of the day was unbearable. Everyone was inside the building, avoiding the living hell.

None of them said a word until they reached the edge of the forest. A refreshing rush of wind hit their skin, making both of them smile for a moment.

The trees' leaves moved rhythmically as the wind hit the branches. For a slight second Casey wished she could be out of there, with her father.

"It looks beautiful, doesn't it?" Aundrea smiled. She was hypnotized by the green beauty that grew in front of her.

"It is beautiful," Casey admitted.

"sometimes I wish I could just run away and get lost out there," Aundrea chuckled

"You've been there?" Casey asked astonished

"Once and it didn't turn out well," Aundrea sat down facing the woods, a few seconds later Casey was sitting beside her.

Neither of them talked for a few minutes, both enjoying the fresh air that played with their hair and filled their lungs.

The rich smell of soil and leaves filled their nostrils making them forget for a while the world they lived in, a world were dust was the only thing that reached their nose, were the hot sun light was the only warm thing that touch their skin.

"I was seven and my brother eight," Aundrea spoke, not taking her gaze away from the green shaggy.

"Our parents decided we should leave Carmona to search for better job opportunities. We were barely surviving with what they won here. Anyways, we knew it was a really long trip so we packed the essential things and headed Bolivar city. I remember being excited when we saw the forest. It was so beautiful. The birds were singing, the trees seemed to dance at the sound of the wind and it was so green," she stopped and smiled as she remembered her little self staring at what she thought was a paradise, "But good looks do trick. As we went deeper everything seemed to get darker. We couldn't hear the songs of the birds and the chilly air turned colder. As a kind everything started to appear spooky and dark. Then it came the sound," she paused and replayed what she had heard many years ago.
