Casey's stare was focused on the red spot painted on the wooden board. Her breathing was steady, her right foot secured in front of the rest of her body and slightly bended knees. She took a deep breath and then let go of the knife, her index stroking the edge of the handle. The sound of penetrated wood made its way to her ears, making her smile.

"Awesome job Casey," Shira patted her back with his heavy hands.

It's been four days since the rescue was executed. It has been a busy day for Casey and the rest of the rebels. Building tents for the new members, explaining rules and routines, and collecting food was no easy task.

"You are a quick learner young lady," Shira added. As his trainer, Shira made sure to teach everything he knew to Casey. It had been a long time since he had trained someone, but for some reason that he didn't yet understand, he volunteered to train her. But not before letting her know that he was no soft trainer.

He had already taught her self-defense techniques, which he had to admit, Casey easily managed. So he soon noticed that she was ready to learn how to fight back and attack her enemies.

As for Casey, she sure put all of her effort and attention into her training. After the realization that she may be catching feelings for Dyron, she made it her objective to spend less time with him. Though sometimes she desired his company she convinced herself it was not the time for any romantic feelings.

Once again the knife she held a few seconds ago hit the wooden board.

"Ok kid, good for now. Dyron is looking for you," Shira pointed behind her.

Dyron's tall, muscular figure stood still a few meters away. She could feel her heartbeat get stronger and faster inside her chest with just hearing his name.

Shit, she thought.

She sprinted towards him.
"Hey," she smirked, looking at the ground.

"Good throw," he complimented.

His eyes were on her when she turned to look up at him.
"Do you need me for something?" She asked.

"Yeah," he cleared his throat. "Flint is starting to walk again. Thought you would want to visit him."

"That's great news! Thank you for letting me know."

For a short moment, they walked in silence.

Dyron cleared his throat again, "Also, there's something else you should be aware of."

Casey knew it was something she wasn't going to like. Her stare was focused on the ground she was walking on. She followed Dyron's steps as well. His shoes were dirty, mud covering them almost completely. He has gone somewhere, she realized.

"We've seen Talev close to the grounds. If he finds out about our location we'll have to burn everything down and run out immediately." His words were filled with worry but also wrath.

"What does he want?" Casey desperately asked as she stopped walking.

"You," Dyron looked at her with his golden eyes. Just the thought of what he might do to Casey infuriated him.

"I'm going to hunt him down and kill him," He announced, "and I'm not asking for your permission or approval Casey. I just want you to be aware of what's going to happen."

"I need to know why he wants me, Dyron," she spat back.

He took a deep breath again. His eyes were not focused on her anymore. Casey could see how troubled he was with what he wanted to do and what she was asking for.
