Chapter 46

Cali's POV

I woke up in the middle of the night and all the guys we spread out across the room sleeping. Well everyone but Matt

"You ok?" He asked and I nodded "why aren't you sleeping?" I asked

"Wanted to make sure nothing happens to you during the night" he said and I nodded and he held me hand and rubbed it when his thumb

"All the guys have been taking turns doing this, we rotate every night" he said and I could feel my eyes start to water

"What's wrong?" He asked and I cross crossed my legs and he sat in front of me so our knees were touching and holding hands

"You guys do so much for me and I just I don't know what to do to make it up to you guys" I said and I was looking at my hands but Matt gently pulled my face up so I would look at him

"Fight, fight this. That's the only way right now to repay us" he said

Until the unbearable pain went away I held my side. Matt gave me a worried look but I have him a small smile so he knew I was ok

"It just hurts sometimes" I said and he rubbed my arm

Matt moved over and laid next to me. I land my head on his shoulder and he kissed my forehead

"Matt do you still love me?" I whispered to him

"Of course" he said and I snuggled into him more

"I love you so much" he said

"I l-love you too" I said and fell asleep as he wrapped his arms around me

I woke up again around 6 and it was still dark outside. Matt was also still awake.

"You still doing ok?" He asked and I started coughing

He rubbed my back but even the slightest touch hurt

"Matt" I said not being able to breathe

It hurt so bad

I held my side as I leaned over trying desperately to make the pain go away

The pain soon went away as my doctor came running into the room.

"What happen?" He asked and I couldn't find the words and I don't think Matt could either

"She just, she she" he said but couldn't say anything because it scared him so much

As all the guys started getting up the started asking questions and also started getting scared

"Cali we need to run multiple more tests and Nash please come with me again" he said and pulled Nash out into the hall

"Jut by looking at her and hear about what just happened with out even taking tests, Cali is dying, and I don't think we can save her" he said

This man seriously needs to learn to whisper better
