Chapter 24

Shane's pov

I just pulled up to the house and mom was helping joey inside. He was completely dressed up in his adorable oversized sweater that i bought him. He looks so fucking adorable in everything he wears. I just wonder why those two were out in this cold.

I grabbed my bookbag from my back seat and i headed inside to see mom helping joey take his scarf off. I scrunched my eyebrows together knowing joey is capable of doing this himself.

Shane: Can't joey do that himself?

Mom: Joey had a fever or 103.9 so we went to the doctor and he got a shot to make the temp go down. Now that the medicine has kicked in he's a bit loopy. Aren't ya joey?

He nodded and dipped his tounge out as mom tugged off his tennisshoes. I then shooed her off so she could rest and i could spend time with my little bear.

I plopped us both on the couch and joey was slowly watching my every move.

Shane: What are you staring at baby?

Joey: Shaneyyyyy hair go to ceilinggggg.

He reached up and tried to reach for my apparently sky high hair. I grabbed his hands and he placed them on my hair as he smiled.

Shane: See, my hair is down here.

He giggled and stroked his hands through my locks as he seemed so amused. Soon his smile faded and his eyes got wide.

Shane: What is it baby?

Joey: Shane hairrrrrrr CANDY!!!

He tried to bite onto my head and i pushed him down to the couch pillows and i crawled on top of him. He continued to bite his teeth together and shake his head making me smile.

Shane: Let's take a nap yea?

He nodded and i brought him into my arms as i rocked him back and fourth like i would for a baby. He smiled and his eyes began to droop and soon he was asleep in my arms. I laid him back on the couch and i covered him with a fleece blanket. He curled into a ball and soon came the snores and i went to the kitchen to help mom.

Mom: Joey fall asleep?

Shane: He's out like a light.

She smiled and continued to add vegetables to a rice dish.

Mom: He's precious isn't he?

Shane: Yes he is he's just the most adorable thing.

It was a bit awkward discussing joey's cuteness with my mom but at the same time it was nice to just talk about him. Just getting out my feelings is nice sometimes.

Mom: So you kissed sawyer again? Shane you can't keep doing this to joey.

Shane: Mom i know, i'm sorry, i just don't know what i'm doing anymore.

Mom: Maybe you need to take time to think. You can't keep hurting yourself and those two. It's unneeded tention and you need to get rid of it.

Shane: Thank you mom.

She shot me a nod and i then heard joey yelling.

Joey's pov

I then woke up and the ceiling was really wavy. Everythign was really colorful and funny, ooh shaney needs to see this.

Joey: Shaney come see thisssssss.

I heard his big footsteps and he slowly walked to the couch kneeling in front of me. I suddenly remembered something that i needed to tell shane.

Joey: Shane... J-Joey need to tell....s-something.

Shane: Well what is it?

Joey: C-Come here, please.

Shane: I'm right here.

His face seemed warped and far away and i pulled him closer until his skin pushed against my lips.

Joey: Shaney listening?

Shane: Yes joey, i'm listening.

Joey: Ok, j-joey...need to tell you.

Shane: Damn, just tell me joey.

My voice was a whisper and i leaned against his ear.

Joey: Daniel, k-kiss, JOEY!!!

Shane's pov

I winced at the loudness and my heart craked at his sentence. So THAT'S what daniel was doing earlier with joey? He was fucking lip locking with my boyfriend?

Joey: He brought f-flowers and h-he made joey feel better.

Shane: Did. He. Touch you?

Joey: N-no he just kiss joey.

He giggled and shut his eyes as he fell into a medicine induced sleep. His lips left my face and he fell back onto the couch with little snores.

I decided to leave and visit good ole daniel since i was feeling pissed and i could just beat him up if he made it worse. I quickly drove to his house and i banged on his door, his mom soon opened it.

D mom: Oh hi shane, why have you stopped by?

Shane: Is daniel here?

D mom: Yea, he's upstairs just come on in.

I smiled and entered the room as i quickly bounced up the stairs towards his room. I then swung open his door and he looked up at me with a confused look.

Daniel: Oh hey shane, what are you doing here?

Shane: I just wanted to talk.

Daniel: Oh alright, is there something in particular that you wanted to talk about?

Shane: Oh ya know, how you fucking KISSED my boyfriend today.

He instantly went quiet and he looked down at his fingers as they fiddled around anxiously. I glared at him and he slowly looked up to meet my gaze.

Shane: Did you?

Daniel: Y-Yes.

Shane: How could you daniel?

Daniel: No shane, you can NOT blame me for being an asshole. You think i didn't see you kissing sawyer earlier? You would HATE for me to tell joey about that wouldn't you?

Shane: That's different.

Daniel: No it's not shane, it's COMPLETELY the same. The only difference in this situation is the people whose cheating.

I groaned at his words because i know they are incredibly true. I just keep lying to make myself feel less guilty. I've used lies to cover up the intense pain and conflict i've felt inside. My heart can't take anymore confusion i'm so sick of this.

Shane: I'm done living this lie.

I then realized now what i had to do and it was happen now.

Shane: We'll take later.

I stormed out of the room and i raced to my car as i drove back home at a dangerous pace.
