I think I might've slept around two in the morning due to the buzzes and vibrating of my phone in the group chat. The fact that my phone was Nokia didn't help too. I could literally feel my self vibrating.
It took me a moment to realise that I only needed to mute the group. To shut up.
Anyway. I woke up around 10:00 in the morning. I thought my mom would've shook me to death given the time for even the latest wake up time for anyone is 8:00 . (She likes walks in the early morning). But again. This is probably the only chance I get to sleep in. So I went back to cuddling my pillow.
It didn't even reach a minute when my phone started singing Beauty and the Beat. Don't you ever. Say I'm addicted to that dude you call JB. This song makes me answer calls faster before you can let your JB say baby.
It was Aaron. What'd he want?!
"Aaron?"
"Oh good. You're up. You know those fields nearby those lakes with piles of hay?" He asked not stopping for a breath.
"Yeah? Why?"
"I need you there asap. We need to take down some dickheads. By the fields with some boards. Bring your own paintball gun. I know you have one."
"What? How? Okay. First tell me who are these dickheads?" I asked on the phone while changing.
"It's a long story. But let's just say. This is a battle between boarding schools" I could feel his smirking aura even through the phone.
"Is that Arthur!!?" I could hear Darwin's voice.
"Gimme the phone! Arthur! They forced me here because my house is nearby! I don't wanna fight! It's freaking paintball" Darwin hissed through the phone he probably snatched from Aaron.
"Let me guess. It's because of the conversation you had in Whatsapp didn't it?"
"Yessss! And my mum never appr-"
"Just c'mere now. That's it.I'm sending your Xcrete." He said ending the phone call.
"This new school I'm in is driving me crazy!" I muttered.
Bumping into my family.
"Uh. Mum. Dad. There's this battle between schools at this paintball arena. And I just wanted to say. If I die, I want you to know I love you guys."
"Go make me proud, soldier!" My dad saluted.
"Sure dad!" Saluting him as I ran backwards.
Xcrete was waiting for me by the woods in Yuta's jeep. I jumped in.
"You guys know what's all this about?" I asked taking my own paintball gun from Spencer to reload.
"All I know a fight occurred on internet." Spencer said.
"Let's just say. Things got violent." Luke continued.
"Oh. Which schools are we fighting against?"
"Aisha says it's Teecase and Zass. Zedur too. I think" Yuta answered while driving.
"How's your dad's left ear?" Luke spoke.
I was surprised. We never mentioned my dad. It's not that I'm ashamed. But I hate pity.
"You know?"
"More than 5 years of friendship. You can't expect me not to know your deepest secrets. And I expected you to tell me at least one of those days!"
"Not only you, Luke. Not only you." Spencer muttered loading Yuta's green gun.
"Fine. With them too. If you don't want pity. It's fine with me. I couldn't care less. But at least don't go through your problems alone."
