Arabella-
"By guys, I'll see you in a few months." I tell Jake and Lucky. The most adorable couple on campus. Lucky finally asked him out and he said yes. They are probably the most unconventional couple to walk the Earth, but as long as they're both happy, then I'm happy for them.
"Do you have everything?" Lucky asks.
"Yes just like last night when you asked, I do have everything."
"International Passport?"
"Yes."
"Papers for visiting America?" She asks.
"Yes Mother, I have everything!" I cry in annoyance. "Sorry." I apologize immediately.
"It's okay." She shrugs as if it was nothing. I hear my flight called and hug Jake and Lucky before heading to board.
"Bye!" I call back to them, they both wave and I turn away before I decide I can't. My ticket to Matthew's graduation in my purse along with my travel log. I always write on the flights listening to music.
I find my seat, I refused first class this time but still insisted on having an aisle seat. I sit down and pull out my notebook it's covered in stickers from every country I'd been to. Most of Europe, Russia, Australia, Japan, and China.
"That's quite a collection you've got there." A boy about my own age sits next to me.
"Thanks, I travel a lot when I'm not in school."
"I'm always traveling too." He says, he's got an American accent, but he looks familiar. "Its part of my job."
"How old are you?" I ask him curiously.
"17, 18 next month." He answers.
"What do you do?"
"I'm a singing actor. If that makes any sense." He says, "We just got finished filming here for my new movie."
"You look familiar, but I'm sorry, I can't place your name." I admit.
"Don't worry about it," He assures me, "I'm mostly known in America, where I'm from. My names Gavin."
"I know, I could place the accent." I tell him. "I'm Arabella Kennedy."
"I know, your uncle's famous all over the world."
"Right." I smile sheepishly. "Why aren't you up in first class?"
"My friend and her boyfriend are probably making out like they always are. I don't know how her best friend can sit there while they do it. I figured I'd be better off surrendering my seat."
"Gavin, why did you ditch me with those two love birds?" A blond boy comes and plops down in the other seat after climbing over Gavin and me.
"Sorry. I surrendered my seat, no point going back to watch her and lover-boy make out for 19 hours." Gavin shrugs. "Arabella, Austin, Austin, Arabella." Gavin says introducing the two of us.
"Pleasure." He says nodding to me. He's got a blue and white Letterman with many pens and letters.
"Likewise." I answer politely before opening my travel log and putting the date at the top of a blank page.
June 14,
Just boarded the plane for New York City. Can't wait to set foot on American soil. After two hours on layover in New York the connecting flight will take me to Phoenix where Matty will be waiting. I can't wait to see him. I'll spend the week with him before heading to London for the summer.
