Dimitri's POV:
when Angelina told me about the note, I was three things:
1. Terrified that someone was plotting against me, and my mate.
2. Scared that if I leave her alone by herself, someone might hurt her....or worse.
3. Angry that someone was so stupid as to even ATTEMPT to try to mess with my mate.
So when I woke up from me and Angelina's nap to find Angelina gone: I FLIPPED.
" ANGELINA! " I yelled, hoping that she would hear me. Two seconds later, my angel burst into the room, looking like she had just heard glass break.
" dimitri? What is wrong, are you o-" she started, before I scooped her up, and pulled her to my chest, growling protectively.
I nuzzled her neck, lightly placing kisses all down her neck. Feeling her shiver in delight, I laughed myself.
" aww, is my baby boy feeling ferociously protective?" Angelina cooed at me, and I nodded into her neck, loving the way she felt against my body at the moment. She laughed, and I sighed, loving the sound.
Her laugh sounded like bells, and I would do funny stuff like this ALL the time, if I knew I would be able to hear that sound.
" I woke up and you were gone, and I got scared that something happened to you." I spoke, gently putting her down on her own two feet. My mate looked up at me, and gently kissed my cheek.
" I was only downstairs talking to your mother!" Angelina said, furrowing her brow. and then her face softened as realization set in.
" you were worried about the note huh?" She said, and I nodded, putting my face in her neck again, ad she wrapped both of her arms around my neck, and stroked my hair.
something suddenly popped into my head, and I spoke, voicing the thought." Babe, do you think you could be here all day tomarrow while I go with my father to work?" I asked, and my mate stiffened, pulled away, looking at me, then spoke:
" uh, yeah, I guess, but can't I come with you?"
" no, sorry, me and father are going to go about 4 hours away, and we are going to meet with another coven, to talk about joining our covens, and making a big one. Their coven is slowly losing members, and they are warring with two other covens, so we are going to go work out a deal with them."
"oh, well, that sounds fun! When are you two leaving tomorrow?" Angelina asked, grasping my hands in hers.
"about 8:00 am, we will not be back until about 9:00 tomorrow night.." I said, and she whimpered.
" aww, but babe! I don't have anything to do around here!! I need to do something! So that I won't think about you all day and start worrying!" Angelina said, just as my mother mind-linked me that dinner was ready.
" I know honey, we will talk about this later, ok? Mom just mind-linked me saying dinner is ready." I said, pulling my mate out of our room and pulling her down the stairs. We walked into the dining room, and I heard my mate gasp in awe.
" wow, dimitri, this is gorgeous!" Angelina whispered, as we both sat down.
"hello Angelina darling!" My older brother said to her, taking her hand, and kissing the back of it. I growled lowly, and I heard his mate growl back at me. I hate my older brother's mate, she is a absolute bitch, and I didn't want her talking to Angelina.
