Chapter 9: the jailbirds talk and dimitri almost kills himself

Angela's POV:

Sebatian's girlfriend pulled me into a room away from all the others. I walked in, and gasped, because it was a AWESOME-looking library!! I didn't realize something was wrong, until I looked around, and saw sebatian's mate staring at me with a murderous look on her face. I frowned, and she stepped forward, so I stepped back.

" so, your the wierd-ass whore that is taking advantage of my brother-in law." The girl said, pulling out a syringe as she came at me. I started getting really scared. I kept backing up, and she kept advancing on me, until I bumped into a table, next to the back wall. Suddenly, the girl sprang towards me, catching me off guard, and sank the syringe into my shoulder.

I tried to cry out, but she placed her hand over my mouth, and I was suddenly seeing dark spots cloud my vision, and the world went dark.

Dimitri's POV
I went down to the dungeon, to see what the jailbirds wanted. I got down there, and they both were in separate cells, much to my liking. I walked over to the one who hurt my mate, and I slapped him... HARD. He cried out, and cowered back. " why did you hurt my mate." I asked, but he didn't answer, so I asked again, but he still didn't answer, so I asked a third time. When he didn't answer, I started to get pissed off.

I grabbed him, and slammed him into the stone wall. He whimpered, and I slammed him into the wall again. "WHY DID YOU HURT MY MATE?!" I yelled, and the guy spilled his guts.

" my boss wanted me to! Please! I am telling the truth!! Please! I have a mate and children! They are only little! Please! I promise that is the truth!!" He cried, and I could see the terror in his eyes.

I never want Angie to see me like this, especially if we have kids. I narrow my eyes at the guy, and he starts to visibly shake, so I let him go, and he crawls to the corner of the cell, and starts to weep.

I walk over to the other guys cell, and I see him narrow his eyes at me. I growl, but he is not effected.. At all. I frown, and walk over to him. " why did you friend hurt my mate?" I ask calm let, and he doesn't answer. I ask him again, and this time, he responds. " why should I tell you? You are just going to kill me anyway." He says calmly, and I grab him by the throat.

" I suggest that you tell me then, as maybe I will think about letting you and your little friend go... Or not and I kill you." I say softly, and the color drains out of the guys face. I raise and eyebrow, and he tries to get out of my grip, but I tighten the hold I have around his neck.

"O..k.. I will.. Talk.. L.. Let.. Me down.." He splutters, and I let him go, and he crumpled to the ground. " ok then friend. Spill the beans." I say, and he starts.

" my boss wanted me to, you see, he said that it is revenge for what you took away from him a decade ago, and he said that he is just returning the favor." The guy said, and I knew EXACTLY who I was dealing with. I smoothly turn, and mind link the guards.

" let them go, I know who tried to hurt her" I growl, running up the steps, to see my mom in a flutter. When she sees me she runs up to me and frowns.

" was Angie with you?" She asked, and I shake my head, having a bad feeling in my gut, "what's wrong?" I ask, and what my mom says next, makes me stop breathing.

" dimitri, Angelina's been kidnapped"
