"You want to what?""I want to go to Neverland. I want to meet the Lost Boys, and Hook, and see it all for myself."
"No, there are no lost girls in Neverland. I didn't even want to come back here anyways."
"Peter, stop being a stubborn butt face and take me with you. Plus, what about Wendy?"
"I fed her to the mermaids." He gives me a blank expression.
My eyes widened, and I backed away from the window. "What don't you get, Erin? I'm evil. I'm bad. I kill people."
"Obviously I don't get anything. So, show me."
"You won't like it." Peter crosses his arms, and I sigh. "I'll take you for one night."
"Yay! Wait! I wanna show you something first."
He raises his eyebrow at me, and I pull him in my room. I tell him to follow, and head down into the kitchen quietly. "What are we doing!" Peter whisper yells at me. I ignore it, and open the freezer taking out black raspberry ice cream, then I take out two bowls, spoons, and an ice scream scooper. "I, Peter Pan, am going to show you what heaven tastes like. In exchange for you taking me to Neverland tonight."
Peter makes a face at me, and looks away. "That looks gross." He says, and I make a really exaggerated gasp.
"It is the most amazingly heavenly unicornly thing that exists on this world."
"I was here before I made Neverland you know? I know what Ice-" I shove a spoonful into his mouth.
Peter takes it out of his mouth, and swallows. "That actually is good. Not the point though. We have to go."
I leave everything as it is because I will only be gone for the night. As soon as we get into my room he grabs my hand and jumps out the window. "Wait where is it?"
"Second star to the right, my love," he grins, "and then straight on till morning."
"That sounds far."
Peter gives me an evil grin, and we take off. I close my eyes because the wind is bothering them, but the bright lights make me open them again. It was beautiful. He pulls me up to his chest, and we crash land into the water. "Agh! You did that on purpose!" I yell, and swim to shore.
"Maybe, just a little."
"Asshole." I say, and look around. It was beautiful and hot. The sand glistened in the sun, and waves crashed on shore looking crystal clear. The trees all tied together by ivy, it was such an amazing sight. Took my breath away. Till something actually did.
An arrow coming incredibly fast almost hit me. I held my breath, but Peter jumped in front of me catching it between his hands. So vitally close to his heart, that he says he doesn't have.
I see him look down, and bite his lip, grinning his famous grin. Then his face looks emotionless just like that. "Boys!" I heard anger laced through his voice. "Pan! We were just doing targ-"
"Shut up. What did I tell you boys about target practice too close to the shore?"
"That it makes us an easy target to Hook and Tick Tock." The two boys say in unison. "Where are the others?"
"By the sleeping grounds." He dismisses them then. Then he turns to me. "Next time be more aware of your surroundings. Your eyes and ears are your biggest predatory senses. Otherwise your dead, and you'll never know what hit you." Peter spits, and disappears into the woods. I stand there with an uneasy feeling in my stomach. I walk through the ivy and trees, and try to find my way myself. It takes me only ten minutes to my surprise.
"Pan, who's the girl?" A young boy, probably only eleven years old, asks Peter.
"Just a visitor, boys." Peter sharpens his arrow, and ties it onto the end of a stick, loading his bow that was all handmade. Incredible. "Why don't we show her what target practice is boys?" He grins at another boy about his age in the group.
"What do you say, Hayden?" He asks the tall, dark haired boy.
"I say go for it, Pan. Nothing's ever stopped you when your mind is set." Hayden winks at Peter.
"What is target practice?" I ask innocently with a little fear behind my voice.
"Oh, don't worry princess," he appears in front of me, "you'll find out very soon." Peter takes my hand, and we disappear then reappear on a mountain.
"Okay, so I have a game for you, sweetheart." Peter hands me a bow, and a little bag type thing full with arrows. He buckles it on me, and straps a knife holster on my upper thigh. Then, poof, a small knife lay in his hand. I took it and put it in the holster. "What's the game?"
Peter grins at me again, "the goal of the game is not to die."
"Uh, and rules?"
"There are none."
I widen my eyes, and he disappears. Well, I wanted to come here.
I look around, and see a good tree with lots of branches, and a pretty big ivy vine that wrapped around it. I grabbed that and climbed up to the top. He said no rules.
I try jumping to the next branch, and almost fall but I pick myself up. I grab my bow, and try to remember how easy Peter did it. I go to aim as a lost boy sneakily hides behind my tree looking for me. He heads to the next, and I aim for his shirt. The arrow sticks him right where I wanted to the tree, and he's stuck for a moment. I can't believe I just did that.
"Oh, Erin! Where are you hiding?" I hear Hayden's voice boom through the woods. He's got to be quite a bit away. "Up in the trees!" I hear the lost boy I just shot scream. I hop back to tree I was in and back two more. I slide down, and hide behind it. An arrow shoots from behind me, and just scrapes my arm leaving a pretty deep scratch. I let out a yelp, and run. I run until my lungs burn, and legs ache.
He wasn't kidding with the whole no rules thing. I hear footsteps around me everywhere but no one in sight. "Peter!" I scream, and anger is laced in my voice.
Another arrow comes flying at me, and hits me in the thigh. I let out a scream this time, and run with it still in my leg till the pain overtakes me. I don't hear anyone anymore so I sit behind a tree, and grunt as I pull it out slowly. I gasp, and throw it letting a tear fall. "I told you I'm evil. You still wanted to come." Peter pops up kneeling in front of me.
"I get it now, k? I get it. Leave me alone. I'm done with target practice." I get up and limp past him.
"Wrong way, my love."
"I know where I'm freaking going." I hiss, and I keep walking for the shore. I get it, he's evil, and Neverland is under his influence. I want to show him that I am stronger than this though. That it is possible for a girl to live in Neverland.
I grunt, and sit down on the sand then slowly lay down. I hate him. I hear singing from in the woods. It was a girl she had a beautiful voice. Peter said there were no lost girls in Neverland. So who is this? I follow the sound, and I open up the vines to see a beautiful mermaid. Her long blonde hair covering her breasts, and long green tail swaying back and forth in the water. "Hello." She says, and brushes her hair with her fingers. "Who are you?"
"I'm Erin, you?"
"Ah, Peter Pan brought a girl to Neverland?"
"Unwillingly." I say, and she looks just passed me with a raised eyebrow. She must have been blind because her eyes were a pale white blue color.
"If Pan didn't want you here you would not be here right now having this conversation with me. Pan is a hard ass. Which I presume is why you are bleeding?"
I look down at my thigh, and I remember the stupid game he made me play. He is a hard ass. Wait how did she know I was bleeding?
"I can heal it for you. You just have to come in the water. I can smell it, it must be bad, my dear."
I rub my arm, and take off my shoes slowly. Then I feel a hand grab my arm, and yank me back out of the ivy, and away from the water. "What the hell do you think you're doing Miss I-know-where-I'm-fucking-going?"
