After a good maybe 68 rounds of Black Ops III Multiplayer, and two whole pizza pies later. It was 8:56 p.m. and black as pitch outside. The stars glistened, and my father left a trail of broken beer bottles along the driveway on his way out to the bar earlier. Peter tosses the controller to the side, and runs his hands through his messy hair as he stretches out on my bed. I join him, and kick him off of course though. "Ouch, yo-" He stops himself, and looks at the clock. "Damn." Is all he says."Well, can we go yet?"
"Oh, now you're excited?" Peter grins, and I shrug. "Don't have a choice."
Peter shrugs, and hands me my duffel bag, and book bag that I filled with a few things. "Here we go!" He grabs me, and I find myself clinging to him. We fall on the sand this time, and with a thud. I grunt, and get up. "I liked the water better." Peter huffs, and looks around. As do I, and I walk around looking around. "Let's go." Peter says, and I realize now that I have just been forced to give up my freedom. At least I won't have to deal with my dad. I stroll on behind Peter, and the lost boys all stop, and look over. "What did you bring her back here for, Pan?" I recognize Hayden as he steps out of the crowd of lost boys. His voice low, and hair darker than before, and more messy. The light brown eyes, maybe hazel looks into mine. Why am I scared?
"None of your business, Hayden." Peter says sternly, and grabs my arm. "Put her in the cage, Felix."
I've never seen this one before. A short, dirty blonde, messy, haired, blue eyed, and average height for a guy walks forward. This one grabs me from Peter, after Peter takes my bags, and I bite my tongue so I don't speak. I struggle to keep up with Felix as he drags me through the woods. "So, why did Peter bring you here?" He asks me kindly. I stop, and almost trip. I'm taken aback by the question. Why does he want me here?
"I don't know to tell you the truth." I say honestly, and he keeps walking fast with me in his grip.
"Well, must be a bad reason. He doesn't bring girls on Neverland ever." Felix tells me. "You would think since we're all boys, and we're teenagers, kind of, that we would want girls in Neverland. Not Peter."
"Why's that?"
"Says girls are a waste of time, and people. We get the job done."
I look around as we pass the vines, and I see my shoes through them. That's where I saw the mermaid. I see her bright blue eyes that have a light film over them. Her tail slaps down on the water, and she laughs. Does she know I'm here? I keep all my questions to myself, and let the trip be a quiet one. The woods open up to a giant tree with lots of cages hanging from them. Three with dead people in them, and seven or eight with nothing in them. The one hanging closest to the floor was mine. "Well, don't have too much fun in here."
"Haha, no promises." I say sarcastically. I sit down in it, and watch Felix as he goes to walk away. "Felix?" I say softly, but my voice cracks lightly. "Yeah?" Felix turns to me.
"Why does Peter think that us girls are a waste of time?"
Felix walks slowly over to me. "Don't be falling in love with the baddest of them all, kid." He holds my cage in place, and gets closer. "You'll never make it out alive." Felix then leaves, and I lean back with my back against the cage. What? I sigh, and let sleep overtake me while I hang in a tree.
"Peter says you can come out to eat breakfast." I open my eyes slowly, and look around me. A black haired boy walks up to my cage and lets me out. His dark hair spiked up in the front. So, he does his hair here? "Who are you?" I ask.
"I'm Drew," he looks me up and down, "uh, but yeah, breakfast."
"I'm Erin." I say, and go to walk behind him, but he stops.
"I know."
Drew continues walking, and we get to the sleeping grounds. A long, wooden table full with boys of 17 or so, and under look over at us, and then go back to eating. Peter is nowhere to be found though. My eyes scan the area, and there is a loud yell from the woods. "Pan." Drew says, and all the boys disperse. I have no idea where they were heading to, but I was curious so I tried finding Peter by myself. It didn't work well. By the time I got to the opening where all the boys crowded Peter stood up, and picked up the pirate by his hair, and showed him to us all. Peters eyes stopped at mine, and he continued. "He's planning something. We don't know how long this man has been here, but he hid him from my sight somehow."
"Who?"
"Who? Haha, who? Who do you think?"
"What do you mean, wait, Hook?"
"Congrats, Erin, want a cookie?" Peter says with disgust, and throws the bloody corpse on the floor. Drew tenses at the sound of the pirates neck slamming against the floor. Peter wipes the blood spatters from his face, and picks up the pirates sword. "Back to breakfast, boys," he pauses, "and Erin." Ouch.
I follow Drew, and it takes us only two minutes to get back. I guess I went the longer way to get here. I get some food, and put it on a flat rock then go to head back to the cages. "Where are you going?" Drew asks, and Felix looks at Drew then to me. "Yeah, we're supposed to watch you."
"I'm going back to my little cage. Is that okay, dad?"
"Careful that's a kink of mine." Drew winks, and I just turn around to walk to my destination. I could feel Peters eyes on me as I walk away, but to my surprise he doesn't say a word. I walk barefoot on the dirt path that leads me back to my jail. Jail is better than Hell right?
Once I get back to my cage I stick my food in their first then climb up carefully. I feel my phone vibrate in my back pocket, and I take it out. I thought I left this in my room? "Hello?" I answer the anonymous call. "It's me. Where are you? Your dad has a warrant out to find you."
"Andrew? How did you get my number?"
"Your dad had it written down."
"Where?"
"On the lost girl flyers? I called as quick as I saw them. I'll come get you wherever you are. I'll save you."
"You can't do that Andrew."
"Yes I can."
"No because you will never find me." I hang up, and shut my phone off, and put it beside me. I pick up my plate slowly, and start eating the mixture of fruits, and veggies I picked from the table. I didn't know what the meat was so I didn't take any. I hear some leaves crumble, and quickly shut my cage door. I know it's not locked, but an animal won't know that. A different kind of animal walked through the vines though. A dark, red tinted hair one came out. An animal that was in the body of a human. Peter.
"Who was that?"
"No one."
