School was long, and I fell asleep in three periods, and skipped ninth.Did I mention I failed every test I took today? Haha, well I did.
Anyways, I start walking to my car when this girl runs up to me. "You forgot your glasses in AP Chem." She gives me them with a sweet smile. This better not be a prank. "Thank you." I say back, and look her over. She's beautiful, long brown curly hair, and tall. "How far away do you live from the school?"
"Um, I live about five or six streets away. How about you?"
"I'm two streets that way." She points to the right.
"Cool." I smile, and she waves goodbye.
"See you around!"
I wave back, and keep walking. That was weird. I shrug it off, and just walk to the gas station first. "You should like totally give me your number." The girl flirts with the cashier who is clearly not in the mood. "You should like totally go home, now."
I can't help but laugh because the girl turns around, and stomps her heels out. The cashier looks at me, and smiles. I make myself a coffee, and go to check out. "Thought that was funny?" He smiles at me. I look at his name tag, Andrew. "Yeah, it was." I smile back, and he gives me my receipt. With his number. Oh, I feel special. I laugh to myself.
"Nice try, pretty boy." I grin, and toss the receipt out as I leave, and before I do I turn. "You're going to have to try way harder than that for me."
His mouth is slightly ajar, and I winked at him leaving him speechless. I could care less what boys around here think of me. They all are just looking for sex anyways. Doesn't matter how you look or act it matters how you make them feel.
I get in my car, and on the way home remember how I heard Peter before then he was there. I don't want to see him today. I honestly don't want to see anyone. I drive passed the grass path in the woods again, and then stop. I swear I saw Peter's shadow. I stop and get out. "Shadow?" I ask, and I see a black hand on the tree. "Shhh," is all I hear and I walk to the hand looking behind the tree. A black shadow stands there, and hides on the other side. It's eyes are like white rooms that can make you slip into insanity. "Where's Peter?" I ask it, but it's a shadow. I'm losing it.
"Peter is in Neverland of course."
My eyes widen, and I am suddenly at a loss for words. "Is he like the king of Neverland? Did the power get to his head? Because he's a jerk face."
"No, there are no kings in Neverland. There's only Peter."
"So, why are yo-"
"I have to go! He's looking for me! Stay away." It whisper yells at me. Then disappears.
What is with everyone from that damn place disappearing and reappearing and all these cliff hangers! I get frustrated, and stomp back to my car to head home. I can't get to Neverland on my own, so what does he mean by stay away? From the path? What is down there? I'll check it out tonight while my dad is out at the bar again. "Why did you take so long getting home?"
"Um, because I have friends now, John."
"I am your father! Quit being disrespectful!"
"Yeah, whatever." I say, and he throws a bottle at my head, but I duck. "You're insane!"
"I'm going back to the bar. Had enough of you."
"Thank the lord." He slams the door. I stomp up to my room. Well, that was a lot quicker than I thought it was going to be. I throw my bag in my closet because I won't need it for another two weeks. My phone dings, and I uncover it from my bed. A notification from Facebook. "A friend request from that girl? Janette? Really strange day."
I accept it, and toss my phone onto bed where it was. I stroll down the stairs, and take two slices of pizza putting it on the plate and heat it up. My phone rings, but I don't want to be bothered by anyone right now. For all I care they could leave a message. That I will never respond to. DING. Yum. I could never get tired of pizza, like ever. It's just too good.
Someone knocks on my door. I groan, "no one's home!"
The annoying presence knocks again. "What the he-, oh, how did you find my house?" I ask nervously hoping he didn't follow me because I was talking to nothing earlier.
"I was driving past the street, and your dad walked out, and I saw you through the door. Thought I'd stop by, and say hi."
"Okay, well, hi. Now, bye." I smile, and go to shut the door. Andrew sticks his foot in the doorway though. I roll my eyes behind the door, and open it slowly with a fake smile. "Let me take you out tonight. I'm not really a cocky douchebag."
I lean against the door. "Where to?"
"It's a surprise."
"Fine. Pick me up at eight." I say, and shut the door. I look through the window, and he smiles and pumps his fist in the air. Loser.
I finish eating my pizza, and sit watching tv for an hour. I'm bored, and when I'm bored I eat, but I can't eat anymore. I have a dilemma! I groan, and go up to my room because it is getting close to that time to be picked up. I change my top to a nice black long sleeve sweater, and put on my black, leather jacket. He won't make a move on me now. Wonder if I even cross Peter's mind. Wonder what he's doing.
Stop thinking.
I hear a knock at the door again, and there he is. Out of uniform and in dark blue jeans with a white shirt that defines his muscles, and a leather jacket similar to mine. "Uh, wow." He says, and I rub my arm where my other scar was. "You look nice." He says, "I hope you don't mind I brought my bike instead tonight."
"Bike?" I go to laugh, but stop when he says, "motorcycle."
My mouth drops, and I shut the door behind me. I look over to the black Harley Davidson glowing with blue lights. "Wow." I say shocked "a fatboy. Impressive." Andrew puts a helmet on me, and then puts his on. "Hop on." He says, and as soon as I do the engine roars to life then we take off before I can get a grip. I don't hold onto him though. I put my arms out in the air, and try to imagine the moment I was flying with Peter.
We slow to a stop at a red light, and he lifts up his tinted glass on his helmet. "Having fun there, princess?"
Princess? "Yeah, actually." I smile, and he puts his cover back down, and takes off. It's dark out, and we pull up to a little grass opening by a highway. "Uh where are we?"
"I want to show you a special place of mine."
"Uh, let me guess this is the part where you try to kidnap me, or seduce me?"
"No, haha." He laughs, and takes my hand. "It's when we go to Wonderland."
