Izzy and I walked into homeroom laughing loudly, we sat next to two kids that were sitting at the lunch table earlier, Dillon and Mark.
Jumping up onto a desk swinging her legs she asked. "So boys, are you sure you don't wanna go to GSA today?"
Dillon sighed, "Izzy listen, we're Catholic, you're gonna go to hell for supporting gays, it's not natural." I raised my eyebrows and spoke before she could.
"You're Catholic huh?" He nodded his head. "Yeah well so am I, and what's the saying? Those without sin cast the first stone? Basically? Don't judge hypocrites." Dillon sorta just stared at me. "Well, ya know, we're Catholic, judging will send you to hell." I looked over at Izzy.
"So how does this GSA thing work?" She jumped off the desk and walked over to the front of the classroom, I followed her.
"Alright, so we're gonna sign this here piece of paper. Name, then where you're going. For us we write down GSA." I nodded as she wrote down her name and where she was going, then did the same.
We walked over to the teacher, a tall thin lady with short black curly hair. Her eyes lit up when she saw Izzy. "Hi Izzy! How is the baby?" She laughed lightly at the teachers enthusiam.
"Sophie is good, she's causing a whole bunch of trouble for mia Madre though, you know how she is." The teacher nodded her head, her eyes still bright.
"Well that's good that's she's good, the terrible two's will be kicking in soon." She looked over at me, and to my surprise she smiled at me. "Hi, I'm Mrs. Cosentino, you are?"
"I'm Scar, the new girl if that wasn't obvious." She gave a small laugh.
"Just a bit, anyways, are you going to GSA with Izzy?" We both nodded and she smiled at us. "Well, then you better get out of here, it starts in 10 minutes, I know Izzy likes setting up.
"Thanks Mrs. Cosentino, I"ll see you in English tomorrow." She nodded and waved as we walked out the door. Although, I was more being dragged out the door. She smiled and looked over at me. "I hope you don't mind a bit of a walk." I began walking down the hallways and came to a stop, I glanced over my shoulder.
"You coming?" She smiled and we started walking towards the classroom. "So I was in Mrs. Cosentino's room earlier but she wasn't there, I had that room for English."
"Yeah, she had an appointment, she has MS and has appointments every now and then. She's one of the best teachers in the school, next year we're going to try to get an English class with just our group. Which we think will be pretty damn fun."
"Yeah that would be awesome, could I join?" She nodded smiling.
"Hell yeah, let's go meet the gays though." I laughed as we finally came to the door.
We had thirty minutes left of study hall and there were people putting chairs together in a circle in an art classroom. Izzy smiled brightly and held my hands jumping up and down.
"Stay here okay? I'll be right back." She ran over to a boy with shoulder length brown hair. His eyes lit up when he saw her, they hugged for a minute before she pulled away still smiling. She said something and he looked at me, his eyes widened and he nodded. She squealed and hugged him, kissing his cheek he laughed loudly. She walked back over to me smiling.
"Alright, he's about to start, that's Ryder by the way." I nodded as I heard a voice over everyone in the room. Which was about 30 people.
"Alright, if you can hear me clap your hands once!" Everyone clapped once and the voices stopped. "Guys we have good news today, that new girl we heard about? She's a victory for the outcasts!" There was a loud cheer throughout the room. I looked around and saw a lot of the kids I met earlier. "Wanna say something?" I shook my head lightly but Izzy, who was now next to Ryder smiled and I knew I couldn't get out of it.
"Well I'm Scar, I'm the new girl, don't mess with people I love and we'll be on good terms. That's really it." Everyone smiled widely and started whispering. Ryder clapped him hands twice and everyone repeated.
"Alright were gonna play the wind blows. Izzy grab a chair, I'll start." She nodded and sat down, the boy went into the center of the circle.
"The wind blows for you if you like Doctor Who." A bunch of us moved seats. The girl Gloria from earlier stood in the center.
"The wind blows for you if you like Marvel." The game went on for the rest of the free block until a bell rang. Izzy skipped over to me.
"How late can you stay out?" I shrugged my shoulders, my parents didn't give two shits about me unless they wanted a punching bag.
"Doesn't matter, my parents don't care."
"That sucks, but that's good right now. That group? Was kinda like the fake group the real group will be here any minute. It's kids that can't come until after for some reason." Just as she finished her sentence the door slammed open, a group of people with Conner up front came in. His eyes bright and a smile plastered on his face.
"Who's ready to start a party!"
