Elise's POVErrol wasted not time grabbing my hand and taking me out of the gardens, once we reached the front of the castle I noticed we were walking towards a car. Wait did he even know how to drive? I mean he is hundreds of years old so he had to learn at some time right? Apparently I was wrong as he opens the car door for me and I just stare at him.
"Are ya gonna get in or do I have to help ya with that?" he asks me with that darn charming smile that he knows makes me want to agree with anything he says!
"How in the world do you know how to drive?" I ask him as I keep standing still not making a move any closer to that car.
"Lass, 300 years tends to bore people quite quickly. Besides it ain't as hard as people say it is." he tells me as he starts to nudge me into the car.
I sigh as I reluctantly get into what in America would be the drivers side but over here it is the exact opposite. Getting myself into the seat I put my seat belt on as Errol shuts the door and then enters on his side. For some reason the more I am around him the more natural it feels. Should I really be feeling like this to some wacko who seems to convince me more and more that I may be his dead wife reincarnated? Oh my poor head, I can tell there is a headache coming on.
He starts the car with keys I didn't even see him pull out and within a matter of a few minutes we are on the road to only god knows where. He should know where he is going but little oh me I am completely clueless. This time I just have to trust him to know where the heck he is going.
Surprisingly he is a good driver, obeying all the laws that I remember. After about half and hour of silence I decided to break it because to be honest it was driving me crazy.
"So, why in the world did you tell my grandparents that I am going to marry you? I mean we aren't even dating...really." I say as I look over at him.
"Your grandfather asked my intentions and I told him the truth. Once your memories return we'll be together just like we should have been so long ago. I do believe we would have to be re married though." he tells me as he glances my way.
I just huff as I know a part of him is right, these dreams or memories whatever you want to call them were definitely filled with details I shouldn't even know about. Yet that is what also scared me, I actually saw my own death. Well my past life's death. Wow talk about confusing. That's when the car came to a stop and I looked up to see we were in a small town parked right outside of what looks to be a coffee shop or something like it.
"We're in the town, just gotta do a bit of walkin now." he tells me as he gets out of the car.
"A bit of walking, I wonder how far our definitions of a bit are?" I ask sarcastically as he comes over and opens my door.
Stepping out into the small town it was actually very nice and clean. Don't ask me why I said clean but it was the first thing that came to my mind. So we started to do as he said, we walked. Not that I really minded but I didn't know this place as we relying on Errol for directions as to where we were going.
"Why don't ya just let me lead and you follow?" he asks putting his arm over my shoulder with a chuckle.
Fine I would let him win this but I swear there was no way in heck he was going to see me naked. Reincarnated dead wife reborn or not...wow that just sounded wrong. We walked inside a store and it looked to be an antique store with a kind old lady behind the desk.
"Oh that feckin bell is givin me a headache!" she yells out to no one in particular.
Strike the kind old lady part. Errol just laughs and nudges me inside even more. The lady looks over at us and adjusts her glasses while looking from Errol to me. Should I feel scared or even threatened by this lady?
