FEVER: KAGEYAMA TOBIO

For this chapter, you are Coach Ukai's cousin! :D!!!

"(F/N)-chan, I've noticed you've been sneezing the whole day!" Hinata pointed out as I tried my best to write on the clipboard for today's statistics on the club's volleyball practice. Being Keishin's cousin was a huge pain since I have to record everything I see in the practice as he coaches Karasuno's volleyball club.

Before replying, I gave out a loud sneeze then sniffed as I wrote down how each member was doing. I sighed then cursed under my breath as I took out my handkerchief before wiping my nose. To make things worse, the two loud and obnoxious seniors decided to scream making my headache ten times worse as it is right now.

"Are you alright, (F/N)-chan?! Did Shōyō's sweat irritate you?!" Nishinoya screamed as he eagerly stood in front of me along with Tanaka. Deciding that I should not break their vibe, I gave off a painful smile. "Yeah, Noya-senpai, Tanaka-senpai. I'm fine, don't worry," I
told them making them swoon in delight as they bounced off to help with the clean up.

I sighed then pinched the bridge of my nose and resumed to what I was doing in order for me to have a quite night with my bed and nothing else.

The next day, I entered class with my headache worse than before. I tried to balance myself as I walked towards me seat then took a seat. I grumbled and groaned as I tried to block out any sound-even the wind-that tried to enter my ears.

The door slid open making me groan and lift my head up painfully despite the fact that my head felt like it was about to rip apart in the middle. Kageyama entered the room yawning thrice before settling himself beside me.

"Good morning, Kageyama," I managed to croak while forcing out a weak smile towards his way. He gave me a curt nod before turning away immediately making me tilt my head in return.

Big mistake, that only made the headache worse.

I sighed then rested my head on my desk in hopes of sleeping away this headache. I know that I haven't been sleeping properly within these past few days because of the fact that our neighbor was renovating their house. Luckily, tonight was their last day of renovation and they finally finished before I went to school.

But I still couldn't understand why I still had the throbbing headache. And now, I could feel my muscles ache and my nose get runny which wasn't helping a lot.

"Are you alright, (L/N)-san?" Kageyama asked breaking the silence. Before I could even lift my head, voices filled the air signaling that classes were about to start. I groaned loudly then buried my head under my arms. Kageyama didn't speak after that so I was kind of relieved that he didn't bother me anymore.

Then again, I was a bit sad since even though I knew that he wasn't expressive of his feelings (not to mention he only focuses on his volleyball career), I kind of hoped that somewhere in him, he wanted to care for me.

I huffed as I walked towards the storage room to fetch the nets for today's practice. Each step was completely agonizing considering the fact that I felt like I was carrying a shitload of bricks with me. Every time I blinked, my eyes felt as if they were being punctured by needles. My cold got worse over the day and I've been sneezing and sniffing nonstop for the whole day.

"Come on, (F/N)! Hurry up, will ya?" Keishin's voice echoed as he watched the players stretch before starting their laps. I grumbled under my breath then shuffled inside the room only to find Kageyama inside looking for something.

"Kageyama," I called out as I walked to him. "What are you looking for?"

"Extra towels. Apparently, the other towels haven't been washed yet so I'm looking for the spare ones," he told me as he scanned the shelves. To speed things out, I scanned the shelves and saw it on the top shelf near the window. I sighed then grabbed a small step-ladder then stepped on it to reach the box.

But, before even taking the box, I felt my world go spin as I crashed down the floor; Kageyama's voice droning inside my ears as he called out for help before I completely succumbed into the darkness.

I felt the sheets around me as I shifted to another position. I groaned and saw my alarm clock reading 12:32AM. The lights were out and my eyes were burning from probably sleeping too much. As I moved my leg, I bumped onto something hard making me look at the source.

And there was Kageyama. Asleep. On the foot of my bed.

I gulped then struggled to sit up only to fail miserably making me lie back down. He must've heard me seeing hat he stirred and woke up from his deep slumber. He yawned then noticed me awake, too. He shuffled towards me then placed his palm on my forehead to check my temperature.

"(L/N)-san, are you alright now?" he asked me then washed the towel on a small basin before placing it on my head again. He then pulled the sheets to my chin making me blush towards the action. "You're still burning hot, (L/N)-san. I should probably get you the porridge and medicine your mother prepared earlier before she left for her job," he told me as he got up and left the room. I sighed then closed my eyes for a bit as the situation started to make sense

And now, I'm realizing that the one and only Kageyama Tobio is taking care of me. Of me.

I felt my face go hot. I pulled the blanket up to my face. And squealed.

When the doorknob turned, I immediately stopped then quickly regained composure as Kageyama went back holding a tray with a bowl of porridge, a glass of water, and my medicine with it. I sat up slowly to not repeat the events earlier before Kageyama set the tray in front of me. I thanked for the food then started to eat.

"Kageyama. You don't have to do this for me," I told him as I ate my porridge slowly, taking measly bites of the food I didn't like. He shook his head then looked away as his reply making me giggle quietly as I ate and finished my porridge. I took the medicine and glass of water then drank it and went back to bed.

"Is there anything else you need, (L/N)-san?" he asked me making me smile softly at him. "Yeah, Kageyama. Actually, there is one thing I want," I told him making him perk up.

"What is it, then?" he asked me.

This is it. My moment to confess.

"Stay with me, Kageyama," I told him. He blushes slightly but then shook it off and nodded. I stared at him then sat up quickly making my head spin immediately.

"(L-L/N)-san! You shouldn't be moving around that much! You might---" I silenced him with a kiss. I opened my eyes a bit and saw his face tinted in red. I leaned back and broke the kiss, panting from it because of the fever and because of my heart racing like a mad horse. He blushed and looked down before climbing on to bed with me.

"K-Kageyama, what---"

"I'm staying, dumbass," he mumbled on my hair making me sigh in relief and chuckle.

"You might get a fever too, Tobio," I told him calling him by his first name. He only hugged me tighter and mumbled a small 'I don't care' before drifting off to sleep.

I smiled then reached for my phone under my pillow then took a photo of the sleeping raven-haired boy after silencing the phone. I looked at his face on my screen, how his always tensed eyebrows smoothened out as he drifted off into slumber.

I giggled quietly then placed back my phone on its rightful place then nuzzled my head on his chest, his breathing patterns slowed down as he breathed through his mouth. Finally satisfied, I, too, drifted off to bed; the sound of our breaths slowed and matched at the same pace.

Who knew getting a fever could bring such delights.
