1.6 - I've got this friend
It took another day, but Luke and Ashton had made up.
Luke had apologised probably over a thousand times, driving Ashton crazy. Luke had also explained that he had just been scared at first and that after that, it just never really came out. Ashton had understood, but also made it clear that he wasn't really happy with Luke still.
And in time, Luke had understood.
So all in all, both boys understood how the other had felt and were now back to speaking. They weren't as close as before, but that would come by time, obviously.
Michael, on the other hand, had been all too happy that Luke was back to his normal self and had spend basically every moment with the blonde.
Unfortunately, that meant that Ashton was alone. And after knowing how great it was to have someone (Michael) near you at all times, ready to cuddle, Ashton didn't really want to be alone.
And so, as they were sat at dinner, Ashton started the conversation in the hope to fix his problem.
"So, I'm happy you two are all good, you know," the older boy started, toying with his food a little, "but I'm a bit lonely, when you two are cooped up in Luke's room."
"S-sor-sorry!" Michael immediately stuttered out, his eyes wide as his ears went flat. In a few seconds, the white haired boy was up from his chair and hugging Ashton. Luke couldn't help the chuckle escaping him, as Ashton was surprised at the sudden action. "Whoah, Michael."
"W-what?" The cat-boy quietly asked, leaning his head back a little to see Ashton properly.
Ashton turned his head to look at Michael, leaning his head back as well as that caused them to bump noses. The white haired boy, however, (once again) didn't seem fazed by the close proximity. "Eh, just, can you, maybe, let go?"
Michael immediately let go of Ashton (who then sneezed), mumbling, "s-sorry."
Ashton then smiled, "it's okay."
Michael sighed in relief, smiling as well and sitting back down. In the meantime, Luke was still smiling at the two, before suggesting, "how about we have a movie night? Then Mikey can sit in the middle and be cuddled by both of us?"
Ashton raised his eyebrows, liking the idea. Plus, he wasn't alone then. And he got to cuddle with Michael. Just be with Michael at all.
Whoah, Ashton thought to himself, what did just cross my mind?
Michael's tail was flicking from side to side in excitement at the idea, his eyes watching Ashton's every move, hoping the boy would say 'yes'. Or agree in any other way really.
"Sure, yeah," Ashton eventually said, looking at Michael shortly. He saw the cat-boy smile widely, his heart skipping a beat. And as that had happened, Ashton started to question himself.
The feeling was foreign to him and it was a little scary, in that way. But he had also read enough books to know what these feelings were mostly described to. According to the books, Ashton likes Michael. As in like-like. As in I-would-like-to-date-like.
Like-like.
And Ashton found that a little strange, because at first he thought he liked Calum. But what he felt with Calum, was different from what he felt with Michael.
All in all, Ashton was confused, really.
And a little disappointed, because he knew that Michael could never feel the same way. At least not for a long time.
